Ironically to happen Captain Terry Kingston and Lt Ellie Kees-Odak had delivered the nasty prehistoric mosquito back to Crestacia as the station was being attacked.
Immediately upon arrival Captain Kingston opened up his repair platform to anyone needing it. As luck would have it he had ordered and received three cargo carriers more than capable of being converted to life pods for a short duration.
" Lieutenant Kees-Odak until you are recalled please see that these carriers are functional. I will correlate with Lieutenant Commander O'Neil, if she survived and see what we can do with the station."
Ellie nodded. “Of course Captain, I’ll get on it now.” She couldn’t stop to think about her family or she’d be distracted forever more, though she knew Yova would make sure their children were safe.
Lieutenant Odac Yova did indeed have their children safe and the new child care aid. Once the carriers had been opened for survivors Odac and Lt Myar wasted no time making them habitable.
When Odac saw his Ellie he slowly flew through the low gravity air and landed just in front of her.
" My Sweetness you are back, thank the Prophets."
“I am so glad to see you!” Ellie smiled as she greeted her husband. “I would hug you, but you know what the regs say about that whilst on duty! I’ll make it up to you later I promise.”
Odac didn't care as their whole world was in shambles. " I am about to get real busy with keeping these containers working. The children are on this carrier along with a lot of the civilians." he replied.
“Just tell me what I can do to help?” Ellie offered wanting to keep their children safe along with the civilians.
Captain Kingston then beamed back to the station and he went down to the station engine room.
" Commander O'Neil I am here to help. Where do you need me?: Terry asked as they needed to keep power going to the auxillary systems.
O'Neal worked on the offline core scanning isolinear chips pulling any burned or defective ones out replaceing them new ones, reconnecting and replacing power couplings and had two of her team working on the auxillery system keeping them stable. Some decks even needed portable force field where the outer hull got pierced until the workerbees repaired the damage." Ah Captain, help is greatly appreciated. Could you assist me on the main reactor. The dilthium chamber needs replacing. The whole reactor took some beating. Once the Power couplings, the Isolinear chips and the chamber been replace we could try to restart the core" she said.
" You know Commander I miss judged you the first time we met. I will get started on the dilithium chamber. Recrystallisation of dilithium was a hobby of mine at the academy." Kingstion replied.
Jessica took in the Captain genital apology. “ I appreciate it, Sir.” She remarked to his apology. “Your hobby is now a great help, Captain.” She said while she finished up with the isolinear chips. They have been rechecked after they got inserted. The chips and the slots passed the recheck. There were still a couple of power couplings left so she focus on those. “How is it going on your end, Captain“.
Taking the shards of crystal that had been friend and recrystalizing them took him way back to his academy days. The real good news was that he had a host of suitable crystals on his platform but for now the recrystalized ones would suffice for the recovery.
" Finishing up now. I should probably check the power relays on the available decks before you cold start that reactor." Terry replied.
“That is a great idea, I will finish up here, let me know when you are done. Then we can cold start the reactor.” Jessica said.
She then finished up with the power couplings. She then did a final check of the repairs.
Terry also overlooked everything and made a few tweeks to some power couplings. This was just like building a station you always start from the bottom up. Everything above the reactor room was astethics to him anyway. Testing the power couplings was very important so he also took with him.a mini power inverter and checked every power cable by hand and then gave O'Neal the go ahead .
“Ok I’m starting the reactor” then she tapped a few buttons on the console near the reactor and the warm up cycle started. After a little moment the reactor was humming and the typical blue shimmer was illuminating Engineering. “The reactor is up and running, Captain. The systems should wake up and the environment controls should kick in. How is it looking on your end.” Jessica said.
" The power flow is nominal. The systems on the lower decks are all functioning. Reading a green light on all essential life support systems." Kingston replied.
“These are great news, Sir. Just had a look the worker bees seemed to finish the hull repairs, my MSD of the station shows that other system are getting power too. Let’s rejoin to discuss further plans of repair” Jessica remarked.
" Commander I actually have developed a program that will expedite these repairs more quickly and efficiently. " Kingston answered.
“Then let’s use your program. I would like to see in action, Sir.” Jessica remarked being excited. Her eyes beaming with excitement.
" We have done a lot today. I will return to my platform prepare the sequence and programs. Great Job today Commander O'Neil. " Kingston replied.
“Thanks Captain and I agree, let's call it a day and tackle it again tomorrow” Jessica agreed.
Captain Kingston beamed immediately back to his platform. Checked on the two huge containers and then immediately ordered force field around the rest of the station This was very important as the next stage needed to begin.
" Computer activate program Kingston 3."
[THAT PROGRAM REQUIRES COMMODORE SURETH OR FLEET CAPTAIN SHAUNA VEHN TO APPROVE]
" Just a moment computer." Kingston replied as he entered in another code.
[ PROGRAM APPROVED.]
Kingston smiled as he knew it would.
