[Bridge]

After a rather difficult mission, and sometimes quite tense as well, Captain O'Connell was looking forward to getting back to M-69. Even though he lived aboard the Peel most of the time, Jamie still felt like the Star Base was home.

The Captain and the Commander were at the Conn discussing Ship's business as usual when Helm called out "Captain we'll be arriving at M-69 in one hour Sir" Ensign Hanes informed command.

"Excellent Mr. Hanes, when we're close enough....well....you know the drill" O'Connell commented with a grin knowing his Helmsman was well versed in bring the Ship home and putting her to bed.

"Yes Sir" Jack replied feeling a sense of pride in his Captain's confidence in him.

Devroe looked at O'Connell needing to get something off her mind "Captain could I have a few moments of your time in private....there's something of a personal nature I'd like to discuss" Angel stated with a smile.

"Sure" looking towards Tactical "Lieutenant SanChez you have the Conn for a few minutes" O'Connell stated.

"Yes Captain" Maria replied then motioned for her replacement to take over her Station.

Hearing the conversation Lieutenant Albo spoke up "Captain I'd like a quick word also if you wouldn't mind" Johan stated.

Looking towards his young Officer "Gee it's nice to be so popular today" Jamie replied with a light chuckle "Certainly. I'll call you when the Commander and I are finished."

[Ready Room]

Approaching his Office, Jamie gestured to Angel "Ladies first" he commented with a grin then followed her inside "Please have a seat" as he sat at his desk "So what's on your mind Angel."

Sitting she smiled taking a breath "Jamie there is something I have been thinking about of late that I would like your approval on" then she paused a moment "It seems Lieutenant Jen and I may...well....be wanting to spend some off duty time together" as Angel paused again "Now I of course know all the rules and regs from Star Fleet but before this goes any further I would like to know if you have any objections to her and I possibly seeing one another" she concluded being a little nervous of what her Captain's answer might be.

Looking at his First Officer and friend O'Connell sat thinking for a few moments "I know you're aware of all the protocols concerning a Senior Officer having any kind of relationship personally with someone under their command" then Jamie paused again "But given the small size of our Crew and your past history I'll allow it. Just make sure when you're on duty you set aside any personal feelings for Ms. Jen and be her superior Officer; if you don't feel you can do that then please don't let this go any further."

'I completely understand Captain and I'll discuss the protocols with her just to make sure we understand each other now before we explore this any further" Devroe replied with a smile "Thank you Jamie for understanding and rest assured I will always be a First Officer first above all else."

"I know you will Angel, otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to your request" O'Connell answered with a grin "If there's nothing else you're dismissed and send in Lieutenant Johan if you would please."

Standing "Thank you again Captain and yes I'll send the Lieutenant right in" Commander Devroe replied feeling much better having that of her mind.

Minutes later Johan showed up at his door "Please Lieutenant come in and make yourself comfortable" Jamie ordered with a smile "So what's on your mind."

Sitting across from his Captain's desk "Well Sir I have a request. Since we'll be aboard a new Ship soon I was wondering if there'll be any Family Quarters aboard; you see Sir the Counselor and I have been sharing her Quarters these past few months to be closer to one another" then he paused a moment "And since we'll be getting married before too much longer I thought it would save time packing and moving twice if we could have a larger place to live now" Johan concluded being a little nervous at the moment.

O'Connell smiled "Yes I do believe the new Ship comes with two family sized Quarters" then he paused "And since you two are getting married before too much longer I don't see why that would be a problem; so yes you and Sarissa are welcomed to one of the larger Quarters" he replied.

With a big smile on his face "Thank you so much Captain, we really appreciate the larger living area" Johan commented.

"Well now that's settled, how is Sarissa getting along after what she went through" Jamie inquired with some concern for her well being.

"Good Sir. She seems to be handling things ok and I just want to thank you allowing us the time off together; I think that really helped her" Johan stated.

"That's what I was hoping for. If there's nothing else you are dismissed Lieutenant" the Captain ordered. Johan stood giving the Captain a head nod and returned to his duties.

[Bridge]

Walking back to Command Captain O'Connell sat looking forward to the new chapter in his Crew's life, as well as his own as his thoughts went to Shauna wondering how she was doing when his thoughts were interrupted.

"Captain dropping out of warp and going to one half impulse now Sir" Hanes stated as you could feel the Ship suddenly slow down.

"Thank you Ensign" then looking towards Comms "Lieutenant please hail the Base" O'Connell ordered then stood and walked up behind Helm as was his usual manner "Traffic Control this is Captain Jamie O'Connell, the Peel has returned and am requesting a parking spot near the Base."

"Welcome Captain good to see you're back. Sending the coordinates to your Helm now Sir" the Traffic Lieutenant replied.

"Thank you Lieutenant. Also please be advised that a new Saber Class ship will be arriving some time tomorrow. If they could be berthed at the Peel's usual docking arm it would be greatly appreciated."

"It's already been taken care of Captain. Admiral Stone contacted us first thing this morning informing us of the new Peel's arrival probably around zero ten hundred tomorrow morning."

"Excellent! Thank you Lieutenant for your prompt attention on this and either myself or my First Officer will be available at the given time tomorrow" O'Connell replied.

"Good we'll let you know when they contact us. Traffic Control out."

Going back to his chair and sitting O'Connell tapped his chair comm "Attention Crew, this is your Captain. I've just been informed the new Ship will be here tomorrow at zero ten hundred, therefore the rest of today and early tomorrow is yours to either finish packing or enjoying some time on the Base. Report back aboard no later than zero nine hundred tomorrow. Captain out.

Looking at Angel he started to say something but was cut off before he could "Go Captain, I'll run the Ship" she commented with a smile knowing what he was going to say.

"Thank you Angel he whispered then stood and walked towards the lift. Entering "Deck 2" he requested then tapping his comm "Captain Shauna Vehn, this is Captain O'Connell.
