Two star ships aided on the prep for the first move to Aurelia as Captain Kingston planned for the first wave to move out. This would require Lt Commander O'Neil to take the point and go to Aurelia.

[ Kiingston to Chief Engineer O'Neil. I am at the Slipstream platform please meet me at your convenience. ] Kingston hailed.

"On my way, Sir." Jessica replied and headed to Kingston.

The USS Wacamaw awaited Jessica's arrival as Kingston found her.

" We are almost ready to make our trip to Aurelia. Can you leave now?"

"Yes, I can leave now when needed. Do I need to add anything for our trip or do we got everything? How long would our stay be?" Jessica replied and asked some questions.

" The goal is to get there and link with the comms system that was just established. We then will prep the receiving signal receivers for the slipstream drive. We only get one chance to do this right and if we do so properly the two ships that bring the Base will do so without incident. We'll then let's board the Wacamaw and get underway.

"There is lots to do, I am excited. Lead on." Jessica said and follow Kingston on board the Wacamaw.

Once aboard the Wacamaw went straight to warp then to slipstream drive which availed them to travel to the new world in less than an hour.

" We should not have need to beam down but I have a set of coordinates for the first settlement. The domestic will be constructed this week. I have also established the orbital path of the station. Will you work the computer models and get us a time frame of how long it will take to have the station delivered? " Kingston asked. " The variables are traditional warp drive or slipstream drive."

"I will work on the computer models and calculate the time frame of the delivery. I will also include the weight it will be a facture the will affect the time." Jessica said.

" That it does. " Kingston replied. Terry then scanned a sector which a previous ship had done deploying comm signal technology. It was that which enticed Kingston to attempt a broadcast.

" Sparks..are you detecting any comms systems currently using this band width?" Kingston asked his computer.

[AFFIRMATIVE CAPTAIN]

" Where is this signal being transmitted from?" Kingston asked.
[ FROM THE PLANET BELOW. AT THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES.] Sparks the onboard AI computer reported.

" The Veritas? That ship went down decades ago. Sparks over ride their signal and patch it through the Wacamaw comms system."
[ROGER THAT CAPTAIN KINGSTON]

"Captain, I have calculated the time speed for the combination of warp and slip stream, it will take the two ship aproxematly 4 days. During the trip the ship can only travel the maximal warp five plus the slipsteam cant go faster then factor 6.” Jessica said.

" My calculations were the same. Commodore Sureth has been made aware of the need for two tow ships. We have a second mission here Commander. Someone down on the planet has hacked into our communications net work. I think we should go down and take a look at who or what is down there.

“ I agree with you Captain. We need to investigate the source and find who or what is behind it.” Jessica replied. She felt like that this investigation could be like a murder mystery just in a technical way. ^This will be fun.^ she thought

< On the Planet Aurelius >

The remaining 11 crew of the downed ship USS Veritas were indeed using the recently installed star fleet net which was more advanced than their own 27 year old system.

" Ian to Tactical the link is confirmed."
" There's a problem Commander. It would seem our link has been detected by a ship in orbit." Security Chief August reported.

" Damn it shut down the link. Our encoder has been hacked. Well played Sureth. " Ian replied aloud.

< WACAMAW >

Captain Kingston wasted no time taking the Danube 2 into the planet and quickly landed a click out from the USS Veritas.

" These folks could be hostile Commander take a phaser and set to heavy stun. The Wacamaw computer analysis shows an 80 percent probability they will not be reasonable."

Jessica grabbed a phaser and set it to the highest setting of stuns “Roger Captain, I hope we get through it.”

Captain Kingston exited first through hatch and immediately spotted 2 life forms heading in their direction. Setting his phaser to full stun Terry tapped his com badge.

" SPARKS if my life signs stop blow up the Wacamaw. "
[SELF DESTRUCT ACTIVATED CAPTAIN]

Jessica exited after the Captain stepped through. In the corner of her eyes she noticed that two bodies were advancing towards their position. She tightened her grip on her phaser and was ready to use it .

" Star Fleet ship we mean you no harm but we were promised to be left alone." said a male voice.

" You should have thought about that before you hacked our coms net. I shut down your link. Who are you people really? I know you're from the Veritas but that ship went missing 27 years ago." Kingston asked.

Commander Ian Erwin again took the point.
" Acting Captain and Chief Engineer Ian Erwin. We had an agreement with Sureth to he left alone. Our ship is very functional except for two mangled nacelles. We can leave the planet. Sureth explained the Rip Van Winkle issue. Our mission was such that we were placed in cryogenic tubes to make the journey here from Utopian Planetia. We were assigned to set up a coms base during the Dominion War but our ship hit an anomali and wrecked us here. Our Captain T"Hana sacrificed herself to maintain power to our pods. Now who are you two?" Erwin replied.

Jessica loosened her grip on the phaser a bit but didn’t holster it yet. She wasn’t fully convince of them meaning no harm and kept a watchful eye, then answered „I’m Chief Engineer Lt. Cmdr. O‘ Neil“.

" Atleast they sent someone I trust..engineers. I divulged to Sureth and now you all that we are not here to interfere. We are on a mission which appears to have been ended 27 years ago. From your comms it would seem that something big is about to occur here. Can we help ? Ian asked Jessica.

Captain Kingston looked to O'Neal. " The ship scanned the Veritas and his story checks out. The Veritas was presumed lost 27 years ago. My question to you O'Neil is this.Do you believe this man?""

“I do believe them Captain " Jessica replied to Kingston. Then turned to face Erwin. " You are correct and I’m sure you can be of great assistance we need to link to the comms station here. We got only chance to get it right. I hope you are up for the task.”

" Little girl I was linking comms systems when your Momma was a little girl. Commander Ian Erwin at your service." Ian replied extending his hand.

Tapping his com badge Captain Kingston spoke " Computer activate the rank and commission of Commander Ian Erwin from the USS Veritas."

[ COMMISSION REACTIVATED]

" Now we have work to do. We have to make a comms call back to M-69." Kingston added.
