| Physical Description | {Eidetic Memory} Human Augment: The term augment was used to describe a group of genetically-engineered Humans created by advances in DNA resequencing in the late 20th century. In the 22nd century, Klingons created their own Augments using the original augmented Human DNA. Analogous terms included superhuman and superman. In the 23rd and 24th centuries, the term Augment was sometimes used broadly as a pejorative term for any genetically enhanced being and their descendants, or to refer to any alien species who practice genetic augmentation, such as Illyrians. The original Augments were designed to be remarkably agile, roughly five times stronger and more durable than an average Human, resistant to sickness and with enhanced senses, possessing heart muscles twice as strong and lung efficiency fifty percent better. Their blood contained platelets capable of regenerating from any disease or toxin, which could be used to cure or revive medical subjects via transfusion. They also had twice the average Human lifespan. Even their resistance to directed energy weapons was improved, as it took multiple shots with a phaser or a phase-pistol to stun one. They were even capable of resisting a Vulcan nerve pinch and mind meld. The Augments were also intellectually as well as physically enhanced, with their intelligence being double that of normal Humans. The intelligence of an Augment was exemplified by how, within a year of being awakened in the alternate reality, Khan Noonien Singh was already capable of designing entire advanced systems of mass destruction, including the USS Vengeance, its advanced beam and missile weaponry, a propulsion system that enabled the interception of a ship while in warp, and torpedoes capable of eradicating large portions of a planet. He was able to do this despite having only outdated three-hundred-year-old technical knowledge, before being put in stasis. The ability to learn all of the latest technologies, beyond many post-doctoral qualifications, is a testament to how their artificially augmented superhuman intelligence was beyond the reach of even the most intelligent Humans. An example of mundane abilities for the average 'superhuman' augment; the Augments are capable of hearing a heartbeat from ten meters away. Q Continuum genetic influence: Yui's height is within the normal Human range. She has smooth skin and an olive complexion, with almond shaped eyes that have slit pupils like a feline, their color that of an amber-hazel. On the abdomen/mons there is a strange glyph/tattoo, as if marking her as different and unique. Yui's body tends to be slimmer than the average Human, but the muscle and sinew can be seen, denoting a woman with close ties to physical activity. The only body hair is on her head, her ears covered in black fur with white highlights, and her sleek, slender black feline tail. Yui is all about technology and, her techno-savvy knowledge allows her to figure out tech from around the galaxy rather quickly. However, Yui does not use technology in her every day life, preferring to live as one who sees technology as a tool, not a crutch. Yui has her own personal culture that is both simple and sophisticated and based on a profound spiritual connection to other life around the cosmos. *Quazi {Catfolk}: Physical Description: In general, catfolk are lithe and slender, standing as tall as the average human in stature. While clearly humanoid, they possess many feline features, some Quazi sport a coat of soft fine fur, but all have slit pupils, and a sleek, slender tail. Their ears are pointed, atop their heads, appearing more rounded and catlike. They manipulate objects as easily as any other humanoid, but their fingers terminate in small, sharp, retractable claws. These claws are typically not powerful enough to be used as weapons, but some members of the species—either by quirk of birth or from years of honing—can use them with deadly effect. Feline whiskers are not uncommon, but not universal, and hair and eye color vary greatly. Yui is the unique progenitor of her species, and in that regard, is a hermaphrodite for lack of a better description. When, and if, she decides to reproduce she can go into deep meditation and control the chemistry within her own body. Therefore, she can become pregnant at will and needs no exchange of fluids to accomplish this. She self-fertilizes. Other Catfolk cannot do this and need a male and female to reproduce through sexual exchange. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Yui's view of life and the galaxy is double-edged, due to her own personal perceptions. But, Yui knows that the inherent good in the galaxy is equal to the inherent evil. How could it not be? Her home was a giant technical monstrosity with the only soil to walk barefoot on being in the arboretums, out on the edge of known space, with enemies constantly testing the defenses of the starbase that was her home. And yet, each attack was repelled by people of honor, courage, and duty. The sun will always rise to bring light to that which is in darkness. Yui is no coward, as she will fight valiantly to defend others, and her loved ones. Yui is a very compassionate individual, as she will go out of her way to help someone if she can. The entirety of Yui's character is hard to distinguish based on how she manipulates and tricks people for a living. She is capable of convincingly portraying friendly and flirtatious, timid, vulnerable and scared. For the most part, she is a level-headed, strong-willed and independent woman. Yui normally maintains a controlled, almost emotionless persona to keep whatever she is thinking a secret unless she is around people she absolutely trusts. Although she is more than willing to rush into deadly battle and other unnerving situations. |
|
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Although she can be a very serious individual, Yui is by no means stuffy and has a sarcastic sense of humor, which mostly surfaces when she is with her mother Ro Kudo. Yui is very smart and loyal. While tough and at times ruthless, she is still a good person and can be quite heroic in her own right. And, no matter how injured she is in battle, Yui will go out of her way to make sure bystanders are out of harm's way. Yui is highly skilled in incorporating gymnastics and acrobatics into her fighting style as she battles opponents, able to use her bow accurately in conjunction with leaps and somersaults. Expert Markswoman: Yui is a very accurate markswoman skilled in sharpshooting. Gifted Intellect: Yui's intellect, seemingly, puts her on par with geniuses the galaxy over. She possesses the ability to quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations. Expert Hacker: Yui can hack into most computer systems without tripping any firewalls or security. Pilot: Yui is a skilled pilot, able to adapt to various craft with skill and ease. |
| Personal History | Due to her mother's unusual genetic augmentations provided by Reman medicine and arcane, metaphysical rituals, Yui's genetics seem to have taken upon herself, through her mother, what was meant for the Reman god. Ro Kudo was meant as a sacrificial meal to the Reman god they were trying to bring back to the material world, with this being trapped between dimensions and imprisoned there by the Q-Continuum. Fifteen years ago a single, Human female had been set as a sacrifice to Grezhok, tortured to death, revived, and then healed up and placed inside a stasis sarcophagus. She had then been placed within it and put into stasis, hermetically sealed from all outside influences. She was to be the sacrificial meal for Grezhok when he came from spirit to flesh. The chemists, apothecaries, priests and doctors had developed a metaphysical concoction that would leave Grezhok's original DNA within the sacrificial meal. The mutagenic properties would then be released as he consumed her flesh, being absorbed into his own being and therefore providing him a newer, stronger, physical form. However, it had become apparent that the Cult's enemy, the Q Continuum had stepped in in favor of this wretched Human, granting the female powers and abilities from another galaxy. The Q who had blessed her had also granted this woman a specialized weapon from a religious order in the other galaxy, one with which she had fought against the Cult with. She had sliced and diced the Reman priests that day and left Malikh with a grievous wound he had barely survived. For the past fifteen years he had searched both high and low for this woman. This Human woman was the only sacrifice that Grezhok would accept, having seen his followers fail in their attempt to return him to flesh. The Viceroy had no choice in the matter. Grezhok would curse them all until his divine order was fulfilled. In his efforts to locate 'The One', Malikh had gathered other followers from other races. Andorians, Humans, Vulcans, Romulans, whoever wanted to see the deity Grezhok come to their plane of existence and grant them rulership over the galaxy. It gave a wide variety of beings the ability to travel and look into any hints or clues as to where this woman was, or if she had somehow been killed. However, Malikh never believed she had died, otherwise Grezhok would not be so adamant that she still be used for a sacrifice; THE sacrifice. REINCARNATED PHYSIOLOGY: Since the reincarnation, Yui's cell nucleus does not use nucleic acids to encode genetic information. Therefore, her genetic makeup is not considered to be DNA (thus they do not utilize RNA in the synthesis of proteins). Yui's skin is smooth, iridescent at times, and olive-complected in color accentuated with black stripes down the spine and flaring out from it, similar to tigers or even zebras. Yui has a naturally occurring tribal stripe pattern on her lumbar region which accentuates her hips and buttocks. The stripes range from a dark solid black color to a faded black. After her reincarnation by the Q Continuum her body began to exhibit feline-like features and stances, the muscle and sinew designed to strike poses that would cause discomfort and pain to most carbon based humanoids. Her fingernails are actually fully functioning claws, kept at a workable length for every day use and survival, which do extend for combat. Yui has red blood, utilizing an iron-oxygen transporting system similar to hemoglobin. Despite the odd difference with her genetics, her blood contains platelets capable of regenerating from any disease or toxin, which can be used to cure or revive medical subjects via transfusion, with a little help from medical professionals who can turn Yui's blood into a serum. Musculature sharply defined, giving no sense of emaciation despite thin build. Skeleton is reinforced with naturally occurring carbon fiber. Dentition is similar to humans, though the canines are more pronounced. Highly evolved nervous system, which has given Yui several traits for detecting the surrounding environment. Yui has roughly three times the strength of the average Human. *Eyebrows/ears: With the enhanced, acute hearing, of her ears combined with her eyebrows and finite hairs of her head and face acting as a form of whiskers, Yui can obtain a great deal of sensory information through these organs. They can detect electrical fields, changes in air density and temperature, and sub-sonic sounds. Her ears bend and slightly turn to take in information, giving her a sonar-like detection ability similar to that of Terran bats. Due to this ability, it is very difficult to sneak up on, or even elude, Yui--even in total darkness. They are not infallible, however. Strong emotions that give off surges of adrenaline or teptaline, or even detecting overheating equipment, could skew the information being processed to the brain. When Yui concentrates she can use her eyebrows and ears to single out bioelectric signals nearby. With the combination of sensory organs and her eyes, Yui developed a quadroscopic vision, having light receptive organs aplenty, which gives her superior depth perception to many species. MAGICK: Universal Energy Manipulation: Yui is able to shape and manipulate Eldritch Magick, forming constructs of tangible energy like weapons or shields, or cast spells by writing specific formations with the fiery energy. She demonstrates the ability to form Eldritch Whips and Tao Mandalas, as well blades made from fiery energy, and scan a piece of a person's hair with the energy, to aid in forming a portal that would take them where they wish to go. Teleportation: Using gold rings/hoops created through the use of quantum mechanics, which are worn on her outfit like accessories, Yui is able to open portals that lead to different locations, gaining the ability to both move across the material world and transport herself to other parts of the galaxy. In addition, she can make portals small enough to reach through and grab things, or to exchange one object for another. This is an ability she keeps under wraps. Her main weapon is an ornate bow, appearing solid silver/platinum in appearance, made from an unknown alloy, created from an element as yet to be discovered by the galaxy at large. The nano-tech within the matching quiver provides replication of ammo. Once an arrow is taken from the quiver it is automatically replaced by another, and never more than three at a time within. Her two daggers, also made from the foreign alloy, are a matching set to the bow. Quazi {Catfolk} characteristics and society: Catfolk are a race of natural explorers who rarely tire of trailblazing, but such trailblazing is not limited merely to the search for new horizons in distant lands. Many catfolk see personal growth and development as equally valid avenues of exploration. While most catfolk are nimble, capable, and often active creatures, there is also a strong tendency among some catfolk to engage in quiet contemplation and study. Such individuals are interested in finding new solutions to age-old problems and questioning even the most steadfast philosophical certainties of the day. They are curious by nature, and catfolk culture never discourages inquisitiveness, but rather fosters and encourages it. Many are seen as quirky extroverts by members of other races, but within catfolk tribes there is no shame attached to minor peculiarities, eccentricities, or foolhardiness. All but the most inwardly focused catfolk enjoy being the center of attention, but not at the expense of their tribe, whether it's the one the catfolk are born into or the tribe they choose through the bonds of friendship with other creatures. Catfolk tend to be both generous and loyal to their family and friends. Society: While self-expression is an important aspect of catfolk culture, it is mitigated by a strong sense of community and group effort. In the wild, catfolk are a hunter-gatherer tribal people. The pursuit of personal power never comes before the health and wellbeing of the tribe. More than one race has underestimated this seemingly gentle people only to discover much too late that their cohesion also provides them great strength. Catfolk prefer to be led by their most competent members, usually a council of sub-chieftains chosen by their peers, either though consensus or election. The sub-chiefs then choose a chieftain to lead in times of danger and to mediate disputes among the sub-chiefs. The chieftain is the most capable member of the tribe, and is often magically talented. Catfolk who settle in more urban and civilized areas still cling to a similar tribal structure, but often see friends outside the tribe, even those from other races, as part of their extended tribe. Within adventuring groups, catfolk who do not consider themselves the obvious choice as chieftain often defer to the person who most resembles their cultural ideal of a chieftain. Relations: Adaptable and curious, catfolk get along with almost any race that extends reciprocal goodwill. They acclimate easily. Catfolk and Humans share a passionate nature, as well as a love of music, dance, and storytelling; Human communities often gently mentor catfolk tribes, though such Humans are careful not to act in a patronizing manner toward their feline friends. Ferengi make natural companions for catfolk, as catfolk enjoy Ferengis' strange and obsessive qualities. Catfolk are tolerant of Cardassians as long as the reptilian beings respect the catfolk's boundaries. The feral nature of Klingons stirs as much puzzlement as it does revulsion among catfolk, as they don't understand Klingons' savagery and propensity for violence. Half-Klingons, on the other hand, intrigue catfolk, especially those half-Klingons who strive to excel beyond the deleterious and hateful nature of their savage kin. Catfolk often view Remans and Gorn as vermin, as they disdain the swarming and pernicious tendencies of those races. Alignment and Religion: With community and unselfish cooperation at the center of their culture, as well as a good-natured curiosity and willingness to adapt to the customs of many other races, most catfolk tend toward good alignments. The clear majority of catfolk are also chaotic, as wisdom is not their strongest virtue; nevertheless, there are exceptions with cause. Adventurers: Natural born trackers, the hunter-gatherer aspect of their tribes pushes many catfolk toward occupations as explorers and traders by default, but such roles don't always speak to their love of performance art, be it song, dance, or storytelling. Catfolk legends also speak of a rich tradition of great sorcerer heroes. Those catfolk who internalize their wanderlust often become wizards and monks, with many of those monks taking the path of the nimble guardian. While catfolk cavaliers and inquisitors are rare (steadfast dedication to a cause is often alien to the catfolk mindset) individuals who choose these paths are never looked down upon. Catfolk understand that exploration and self-knowledge can lead down many roads, and are accepting of nearly all professions and ways of life. |
