| Personal History | T’Lanna was born on Vulcan in 2381, to mother T’Pel. She was raised by T’Pel and her family, spending most of her life on Vulcan learning everything the Vulcan way. T’Pel was understanding of her daughter’s wish not to choose to purge her emotions, given that her father is Human, but her grandparents were not so understanding. Having only been off of Vulcan a few times, she has always been fascinated by Starfleet, the adventure of being out amongst the stars and the freedom it would give her to truly be herself. Growing up she had to learn to control her Vulcan temper as it regularly got her into trouble. Another reason why her grandparents argued for her to purge her emotions. It was during her teen years that T’Lanna’s mother was killed in a freak accident, After learning about her father from her mother just before her death, T’Lanna decided to leave her home and make her own way in life. At the age of sixteen her aptitude and high entry scores, along with the backing of her grandfather earned her a place in Starfleet Academy. During her four years at the Academy T’Lanna proved herself to be an adaptable young cadet, earning high scores in all her classes. She graduated top of her classes in the sciences, operations management and medical. She has since been assigned to Starbase M69 as Archaeologist and Anthropologist, with secondary role as nurse. |
