| Personal History | Sarissa was born on Betazed at her family home, her mother being a Starfleet Officer elected to return to be with her husband for the birth of their first and only child. Growing up between her home and Starfleet starships and starbases, Sarissa grew interested in a life amongst the stars. It was whilst out amongst those stars on the night of Sarissa's 3rd birthday that Sarissa and her mother were assimilated by the Borg. Her father and a small group of the crew were off ship surveying a nearby planet and thus survived the attack. Sarissa remained as part of the Borg collective until she was 10, when the sphere she was on was downed by an Ion storm. Rescued and returned to her father Sarissa was re-educated aboard starships and starbases until she returned to Betazed at the age of 16, when she was accepted at Betazed University studying Psychology. Two years later she applied to and was accepted at Starfleet Academy at the age of 18. Sarissa was a dedicated Academy student, her Borg past lead to a few disagreements with a select group of other students, but she didn’t let it affect her studies. Being Betazoid she also took an interest in the medical side of studies, as well as Psychological, and it became her secondary specialism. She graduated Starfleet Academy four years later with honours in both Psychology and Medical. In 2397 she was offered the chance to serve aboard her father's Science vessel the Falcon which she was only too happy to accept. She remained onboard for a further four years before moving on. In 2401 She has now been offered the dual position of Chief Counsellor, and Assistant Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Peel, which she was only too happy to accept. Sarissa has recently fallen head over heels in love with Johan Albo. |
