A new home

Mission: SHAKE DOWN IN A NEBULA
Location: Various
Timeline: Several hours after Mr Eagle arrived on the station.

The transport to Starbase M69 had seemed like a long time, standing looking out on the station that was to be her new home. Nicole just hoped that it would be what she and John were hoping for. Now they had their four year old twins their journeying around the stars was finally settling down.

As the ship docked Nicole made sure that her two daughters were ready to go, she was looking forward to seeing John, they’d been apart a few weeks thanks to one thing and another and she’d missed him very much.

Stepping out of the airlock hanging onto her daughters she hoped her beloved husband had received her message and would be there to meet them.

John was standing right outside the dock, a huge banner with the words "WELCOME HOME WIFIE AND KIDDOS" hung behind on two flimsy poles. In one hand he had a massive bouquet with red roses and in the other he held a bag with gifts for his beloved girls. He was more or less jumping on the spot to see them, every moment he had been away from them had been emotionally draining and he needed some recharge time with them.

The moment the twins saw their father they started jumping up and down for joy, pulling Nicole along as fast as their poor mother could go, not that she wasn’t already heading towards John.

He saw them and smiled, he waited patiently for them to join him. It had been far to long and his heart ached simply to hold his precious family.

No sooner did Nicole reach her husband, she hugged him tightly before giving him a loving kiss. Their girls had chosen to hug a leg each while their mother was cuddling. “We’ve missed you so much!!”

He embraced and kissed his wife first. "I've missed you three as well. He gave her the flowers he was holding before turning his attention to the girls. "Hello you two. I got something fun for you, something from old earth that could stimulate that creativity of yours and you get a beautiful statue in the end."

The girls grinned and nodded excitedly. “Why don’t we go and see our new home?” Nicole smiled as she looked towards John. “I take it they’ve approved us setting up shop here?”

"Indeed they have, was lucky to run in to the head lady that handled the quarter assignments. There are two bedrooms so the girls get their own." he guided his familly down the promenade to their quarters.

“Seriously? That’s wonderful” Nicole smiled. “You hear that girls? A bedroom each that you can decorate just how you want them!”

John chuckled as he watched the girls. Even if they were twins, they had distinct likes and quirks. But he was happy they were still practically inseparable. "Maybe have bunk beds in both your rooms, that way you can sleep overs where ever you like."

The girls looked at each other before nodding enthusiastically.

“Looks like we have two bunk beds to order then” Nicole grinned. “There’s one thing I’d love, a four poster bed with curtains just as they’re meant to be.” She grinned. She loved four poster beds, the whole romance aspect of them made them feel special to her.

"I have heard. I have something to show you at home." he didn't want to tell her, he had got her the king sized four poster bed, what he had done was paint the ceiling with an exact replica of the starscape from back home. It had taken him a week of very careful painting with self illuminating paint that would glow softly when they turned off the lights.

“In that case you’d best show us the way Imzadi.” Nicole smiled warmly as she held onto their daughter’s hands. “Let’s go and see our new home.”

He guided them, listening to the girls as their plans for their rooms spun out of control with different wants and musts. A few things made him chuckle, like a full blown work shop for tinkering. They had got that quirk from him and he was happy that at least one of them loved to tinker with things, even if things tended to go missing, only to be found in pieces later. "Here we are. Welcome home." he said as the door slid open. The main living area was still sparse, but it had all the essentials of living.

“Ohh wow! It’s so big!” Nicole grinned like a kid in a candy store as she stood looking around the room. “I’ll have this feeling like home in no time.”

"It will take a little while, most of the things here are standard decorations. But if you feel up for it, I would love to decorate it with you." he pulled her close and kissed her with the passion he had been holding back since they arrived. The kids had hurried to find their rooms.

Nicole returned the kiss with passion, taking the quiet moment they had to show just how much she missed him. “Roll on tonight when the girls are in bed.” She smiled.

"Oh now you are evil. I haven't seen you in weeks and you jingle that key in front of me?" He lifted her up in his embrace.

“You bet I do!” Nicole smiled. “I’ve missed you, vey, very, much.”

"That much huh? Maybe I need to find you an outlet for that."

“Later, very definitely later!” Nicole grinned motioning to the girls bedroom, knowing they wouldn’t be alone for long.

"Challenge accepted." he gave her neck a love bite.

Nicole couldn’t help but giggle, just being around John made her feel like a giddy little schoolgirl.

Her giggle made his heart swell. "I know how to make you sweat... It does all kind of things when you move like that..."

Nicole grinned. “Good, then I know I’m having the right effect on you.”

"You should always know that seeing you doing gymnastics makes me appreciate your form."

“Actually I do need some practice, maybe we could use the station holodeck once we’re settled in.” Nicole smiled. “Right now I need to see what you got the girls that’s keeping them so quiet.”

"I do love it when you flex your body." he smiled as he knew what had made them go quiet. It was a very old earth hobby called Lego. It would be excellent for the girls mental development and it turnes out it is good to distract them.

“Ahh I see, Lego” Nicole smiled. “In that case I’ll leave them to it for now and stay right here with you.”

"I guess I have acquired my mark then." he grinned at his wife, his eyes filled with all the love he had for her. "I wonder what I will be able to get out of you..." he added playfully.

“Ohhh just you wait and see” Nicole grinned playfully. She and John had an amazing relationship full of love and she was planning on making up for lost time later.

"Wait? When you say something like that, you really turn my curiosity up to 11." he lifted her up his his strong arms.

Nicole giggled she loved her husband’s enthusiasm. “Trust me it’ll be worth it.” She gave him a loving kiss.

He accepted and returned her kiss, embracing her even harder to show her that he wanted her closer. Once the kiss broke he got a playful smile on his face. "So now I need to blow you away with the date."

“You blow me away just by being here with me!” Nicole grinned. “I just wish we had some time alone right now, but I can wait until later.”

"I do love watching your body in a leotard, how I get to see your muscles move." He grinned, his hand roaming her back.

“Then I’ll have to arrange for you to see my body in a leotard again” Nicole grinned.

He growled at her. "Now you are just teasing me... I just have to make sure I bring the hard training program for you..." his eyes were filled with mischief and joy. He loved his family with everything he was.

“Is that so?” Nicole grinned. “I can’t wait to see what you have in mind.”

"You will probably regret it."

“I doubt it” Nicole grinned with a wry smile.

His face practically split into a grin. "Challenge accepted."

“Good” Nicole grinned. “Right now I’m going to see what fun the girls are having, are you coming?”

"Have fun, I am going to prepare for your workout session." he watched her go towards the room the girls where, eyeing her body as she walked.

Nicole grinned as she looked back. “I can’t wait.”

He caught the look in her eyes and he actually got goosebumps. "Evil..." he murmured.

“I heard that!” Nicole grinned.

JJ huffed and headed for the exit. "Sharp eared fox lady..." he murmured.
