~Medical Operations~

Doctor Williams was busy at his desk going over reports for the past week then signing off on them sending anything noteworthy onto Commander Devroe for her information; not that she'd really understand what they were acting saying but protocol was protocol after all.

Nurse Swanson walked over to the Office then knocked on the doorjamb waiting to be recognized. Looking up from his work "Yes Nurse can I help you" Ramvek inquired with a smile not really noticing the time of day as per usual.

Entering just inside the Office "Doctor I wanted to let you know Beta Shift has arrived and have been briefed on the days happenings. If there's nothing else Doctor I thought I would call it a day" Swanson replied returning the Doctor's smile.

"Thank you Nurse and if you are all set yes please by all means call it a day" Ramvek commented "And by the way you have done a great job taking over for Nurse Stone in her absence so thank you for all your hard work."

"Thank you Chief; that means a lot coming from you. So any idea when she'll be back" Swanson inquired.

"Yes actually. Nurse Stone contacted me a little while ago saying they have left the Colony and are headed back" as he paused a moment "She should be back some time tomorrow and I will be giving her the next day off to rest up."

"Oh that's great news Doctor and yes she should take a day off to relax" as she paused and lowered her voice "Heidi asked me to keep an eye on you so please Doctor don't stay too late; I wouldn't want to get on her bad side" as she chuckled.

"No I will not stay much longer....I am almost finished here then I am leaving for the day" Ramvek assured her.

"Good. Have a restful evening Doctor Williams" she responded with a smile then turned to get some dinner.

Shortly Ramvek was finished and touched base with Doctor Johnson since he was now in charge of the facility for Beta Shift. After bidding those present a good night Williams left for his quarters.

~Deck 43 - Quarters~

Arriving back home Ramvek changed clothes, showered, and redressed in some comfortable clothes. When finished he walked into the living area and straight to the replicator "Computer.....one bowl of dinner salad with Russian dressing...two small crusty rolls with butter....fork.....and a cold water" come the request. Moments later he grabbed everything from the replicator then went and sat on the couch to enjoy his meal.

Sitting eating his dinner Ramvek's thoughts went to Heidi. He hoped for a safe trip home for her and really couldn't wait to see her very cute face smiling at him....he very much missed her absence both professionally but moreover personally. Thinking for a few minutes Ramvek realized something.....it was time to focus more on what really mattered in his life and maybe a little less on duty since that had dominated him his entire career with Starfleet thus far.

After dinner Ramvek cleaned everything up then gabbed a glass of wine and returned o the couch. After taking a few sips of his wine he called out "Computer play some smooth jazz music...low volume." Moments later the room filled with soothing and relaxing music. Putting his feet up on the low talbe in front of him he finished his wine then laid his head back on the couch thinking of Heidi. A smile came across his face as he looked forward to seeing her again and hopefully spending some time together before falling fast asleep.
