Sureth walked to the Ready Room and motioned for Lt Commander Kah’lyn Chiara-Rivers to join himself and Commander Devroe.

" Take your seats. We need to discuss this new situation further Commander Devroe. As my chief operations officer I want Kah’lyns opinion as well." Sureth opened.

Taking her seat at the table Devroe responded "Yes, this is a very unique situation to say the least" as she paused a moment "I do have some concerns about interaction between the Dresden Crew and our Crew here on the Base as well."

" The Temporal anomali is ironic too. Multiple events resulting in our space. Have science and engineering do a complete scan on the Dresden. We have temporal laws to contend with here as well. I am also curious if Ardoo may have also been at play with this issue?" Sureth replied.

"As you wish Commodore; I'll have Science and Engineering get right on it" then Angel paused a moment "I would hate to think that Ardoo had anything to do with this.....I can't even to begin to imagine what that Crew is going through right now being plucked from their timeline and ending up in ours" she responded feeling concern for the Dresden Crew.

" We found a similar issue from a ship from 27 years ago also on the planet. We have to contend with this anomaly. " Sureth added.

"Unfortunately you're right" Devroe responded "Once we get the Dresden sorted out would you feel comfortable allowing them access to areas like the Promenade decks?" as she paused "From what Captain Jacobs stated clearly they had no choice but to succumb to the anomaly. I did something during our meeting with him that I almost never do.....I stretched out my Betazoid gifts, for only a few seconds, to find out if he was being truthful. I didn't find even a hint of deception his explanation."

“I can’t begin to imagine how these people must be feeling.” Kah’lyn added. “We could set up forcefields around important areas to restrict any visitors from accessing what they shouldn’t. The problem is it would impede the movements of our own people.”

" They have access to future things that we should not know. But at the same time we should be a welcoming port. Let's meet up with Captain Jacobs and discuss an SOP we can all agree with." Sureth replied.

"That sounds like a good course of action Commodore; when would you like me reach out to the Captain and set up a meeting.....also we should probably include his XO as well assuming he has one of course" Devroe commented pleased Sureth was taking the initiative.

" I am available now. I also want engineering there. Captain Kingston and Lieutenant Commander O'Neil may have some insights to all of this." Sureth added.

"Ok Commodore. Let me contact the Dresden as well as Captain Kingston and Lt.Commander O'Neil....I'll setup the meeting for one hour from now that'll give everyone time to assemble in the Ready Room" Devroe suggested.

Opening a comms channel "USS Dresden this is Commander Devroe looking for Captain Jacobs."

Moments later [ Captain Jacobs, go-ahead Commander.]

"Captain, Commodore Sureth would like you and your First Officer to meet in his Ready Room in one hour if you're available; I'll send you the coordinates. I'm also including Captain Kingston, since he has some experience in your situation, and also our Chief Engineer Lt.CMDR. O'Neil" Devroe explained.

[ Well it's not like I have much else to do at the moment] as he chuckled [Yes my XO and I will be there in one hour; see you then Commander] Hank responded grateful for another meeting which obviously would be about the Dresden.

Tapping her comm badge "Captain Kingston and Lt.CMDR. O'Neil please report to the Commodore's Ready Room in one hour from now for a meeting; Commander Devroe out.

~One Hour Later~

Captain Kingston was the first of the Engineers to arrive. Having just moored their ship he could not wait to speak to the Dresden's Captain.

Commander Devore stood by the table in the Ready Room looking over some reports on her duty PaDD when she heard someone enter. Looking up she saw Kingston entering; closing down her device Devroe walked over extending her hand with a smile "Captain Kingston always a pleasure Sir."

Minutes later two Officers beamed into the Ready Room; Hank and Tiffany. Seeing the Commander talking with another Captain the two Officers walked over "Commander Devroe, long time no see" he commented with a grin "Please allow me to introduce my First Officer; Commander Tiffany Thorn."

Devroe extended her hand "Very nice to meet a fellow XO, Commander Thorn.....Captain Jacobs" as Angel and Tiffany shook hands. Looking to Kingston "This is Captain Kingston; he's had some experience in this sort of thing and is an accomplished Engineer as well."

"Captain Kingston it's a pleasure to meet you Sir" as Jacobs and Kingston shook hands "Hopefully you have some insight concerning our current situation" Hank stated.

"Captain Kingston a pleasure Sir....thank you Commander Devroe and the pleasure is all mine" Thorn commented with a smile and a respectful nod.

" Like wise. We do seem to have a major issue with this anomaly. A random temporal opening that is stable on this side but not so on the other." Kingston replied.

" And I need all minds on this to help us figure out why and how to stop it." Sureth added as he entered.

With everyone taking a seat at the table Devroe spoke first "Captain Jacobs since you're the last one among the group to have encountered an anomaly could you give us as many details as you remember" she inquired with her PaDD next to her.

"Sure, no problem" as Jacobs took a breath "My Science Officer indicated there was an anomaly on long range sensors. Within minutes the damn thing was upon us as I felt it take hold of the Dresden. I immediately initiated reverse thrusters but the more I struggled to break free the faster it was pulling us in. The Computer strongly suggested we put our power source in standby mode and used our reserve power to strengthen our shields. She cited if we didn't the gravitational sheer would be so great it would destroy the ship. Once we entered it placed us in a circular motion with all sorts of colored lights for probably twenty minutes...which seemed much longer. Finally it spit us out into your space about two light years from this Base. We did however place a marker at the exact point where we emerged" he explained in as much detail as he could remember.

Kingston spoke first commenting on Jacobs words. " You said she? Your computer has a gender?"

Hank grinned "In my time line ships are usually referred to as she/her and the voice, for the lack of a better word, sounds like a woman so yes I suppose you could say the Computer has a gender of sorts. Sorry I can't go into anymore detail than that....the Prime Directive forbids me from getting too specific" he replied thinking all present should understand his position.

" No reason to apologize. My vessel also has a female holo system prototype. " Kingston replied.

" To the point before we can't help you get home we need to see if this thing has a predicated sequence." Sureth replied.

Then Devroe interjected "Yes but obviously that'll take some time to collect the required data so Captain Jacobs you may be with us for awhile."

"I'm expecting you're both correct. The point we exited the anomaly a marker was dropped which also monitors that area around the clock; any changes in that area of space then all the data collected is transmitted to our ship's computer.....my people are studying the data as it comes in" Hank explained to those present.

Kingston touched a padd and projected the image of a sector including the moon and area the Dresden was found.

" We should begin our search here." Kingston reported.

Looking at the projected image for a couple of minutes "Looks like a good of place as any to start" as he paused "I can also share whatever data we've been collecting.....maybe with all this brain power we can figure out a solution to the current situation for both our sakes" Captain Jacobs responded quite glad for the extra help.

" The elephant in the room here is trust. We also have the Prime Directive and temporal accords to consider here. Any shared data needs to be on an equal footing." Surrth added.

Commander Thorn had been quiet taking everything in until now "I've worked under Captain Jacobs for the last two years as his XO and I can assure you he is completely trustworthy. Like Captain Jacob's stated we'll be more than happy to share any and all data we acquire" she responded with conviction.

Thinking for a brief moment "You have welcomed us with 'open arms', sort of speak, and we appreciate that.....the situation could have taken a completely different turn" then paused a moment "The only thing we can't and won't share is the technology and/or processes we used to provide the data as per the Prime Directive" Hank explained.

Seeing their reaction to Sureth's statement from the Dresden Crew Devroe interjected "We meant no disrespect to either one of you or your Crew.....since we really don't know you that well yet what the Commodore stated needed to be said just to clear the air so all of us knows what to expect from one another" she responded with a smile.

"None taken Commander from either one of us" as Hank glanced to Tiffany receiving an affirmative nod "And I totally agree these cards needed to laid out on the table" he answered with a smile of his own.

" We have a lead already. I found a trace on your buoy. " Captain Kingston reported to everyone.

"That's certainly a start" Jacobs responded "I'll have our data forwarded to you Captain Kingston when we go back to the Dresden" thinking maybe this situation wasn't so hopeless after all.

Kingston looked to Commander Devroe and Sureth.
" I can dispatch my ship to those coordinates Commodore. The Wacamaw has the shield to endure it." Kingston lightly whispered.

Sureth looked to Angel.
" He is going to need a crew."

Knowing the Wacamaw was a large runabout Angel looked towards Kingston "How many Crew will you need Captain" she inquired wanting to know how my people would be needed.

Overhearing the conversation Hank and Tiffany were whispering back and forth for a few moments "If you wouldn't mind I'd like to be included as one of the Crew for obvious reasons.....I'm well versed in the different Bridge Stations" Commander Thorn offered with a smile.

" I could take 5 more. You are more than welcome Commander Thorn." Kingston replied.

Thinking for a brief moment "Commodore, with your permission, I'd like to be included on the Crew as well" Devroe stated thinking it would be good to get back out there if only for a short time.

" I was actually going to ask you to man the station and I will go in capacity as ships science officer." Sureth replied.

"As you wish Commodore; I'd be happy to man the base while you go with Captain Kingston" Devroe responded with a smile being fine with the request "I'll have three more Officers report to your ship right away Captain."

" Thank you Commander. Captain Jacobs I will bring your Commander back to you. We just need to find out what's causing this anomaly. " Kingston reassured.

"No problem Captain, I'm sure Commander Thorn will be an asset to your Crew as she is to mine" Hank responded looking at Tiffany with a grin.

" Between the combined careers in this room there should not be any mystery we can not solve." Sureth added. " Commander Devroe you have the station. Continue monitoring our away team on the moon as well. Should you need assistance you have Chief Engineer O'Neil and Kah’lyn Chiara-Rivers. " Sureth added.

" I will have the Wacamaw ready in 30 minutes." Captain Kingston stated.

"Understood Commodore, hopefully it won't come to that but It's good to know I have backup none the less" Devroe replied realizing this would be the first time she'd be in command of the Station since leaving the Peel.

To be continued
