Mission:
SHAKE DOWN IN A NEBULA
Location: Sickbay
After arriving back aboard the station Isabelle’s first stop was sickbay, she needed some answers as to what exactly had occurred while she was on the surface. Walking into sickbay she made her way straight over to Ramvek.
“Doctor, do you have a moment? I need to talk to you.”
"Certainly Counselor, always happy to help any way I can" Williams responded with a smile noticing Isabelle wasn't her usual cheery self.
“I have an…unusual query for you.” She quickly rolled off the whole scenario as it had occurred avoiding giving any information that she shouldn’t. “My eyes changing isn’t anything new, when I was Brol for a short time my eyes changed with my emotions. Hiri was forced to stop my transformation when I started growing bark on my skin, it was rapidly taking me over. This time was different, my skin rippled and turned a greenish & brown shade, I don’t entirely understand it.”
"That reaction was quite out of the ordinary for you" Ramvek responded "Why don't you hop up on the boi-bed and let me perform some scans; perhaps that will give us a starting point into understanding what happened to you."
Isabelle nodded and did as instructed. “Commander Wallace sensed something that made his eyes completely black out, I’ve never seen that response in a Betazoid before. I had no choice but to snap him out of it by entering his mind and breaking the link. That’s when I had my reaction.”
"Hmm....that is quite curious indeed" he replied "Let me do some scans and see if that tells anything about your reaction." Gabbing his scanning device Ramvek went over Isabelle from head to toe watching the screen over her bed as he progressed "The good news is I do not see any residual effects from your experience so that is a plus."
Isabelle nodded. “That’s a relief I don’t want to be growing bark again anytime soon.” She grinned. “My eye colour was no surprise that seems to have stayed with me, I go violet when emotions or sensations are really strong.”
Hearing Isabelle, Williams had a theory to what may have happened " Doctor Hiri's proceeder to deal with you being Brol is the dominant factor in your life now. I can only imagine the amount of energy you exerted to break that link....so much so your body's natural reaction was trying to revert back to being Brol as a defensive mechanism even though it can no longer do so" he explained.
Isabelle nodded. “At least I know I’m not reverting, at the time the experience of being Brol was wonderful but not when it seemed I was changing. I much prefer being me.” She smiled warmly.
Ramvek grinned "I think we all prefer you just being you" he responded "As long as you do not over stress yourself with your abilities I am quite confident you will be fine. However if that type of behavior should occur again please get to Sick Bay as soon as possible; we'll run more comprehensive tests,"
“Understood” Isabelle nodded. “I’ll do that. One thing I do still find is that I have quite the proverbial green fingers with plants still. Not that I’m complaining. I quite enjoy hydroponics.”
" That is a nice hobby....many people find getting their hands into the soil and tending plants can be quite therapeutic and relaxing plus it is a great way to relieve stress" as Ramvek paused "Me?.....if I even look at a plant it withers and dies" he replied with a chuckle.
“To be honest plants weren’t really a big thing to me before, they are now” Isabelle smiled. “Just a little love, watering and feed will have any plant blooming in no time.” She grinned as she hopped down from the biobed.
"I will have take your word on that one" he replied grinning "Looks like you are free to go but please remember anything that pops up get to Sick Bay as soon as you are able."
“I will I promise, thank you Ramvek” Isabelle smiled warmly.
"You are welcome Isabelle and have a nice rest of your day" Williams added as Isabelle turned and left Sick Bay.
