As time goes on a star base so are the days of our lives. One awakens and plans their day. For Commodore Sureth he was looking forward to a lazy early morning.

A stroll around the outer ring would be rigid but if he paced himself Sureth planned to be back at the Operations Center by 0800.

Passing a few of the restaurants Jules Nadeau's place was closed so he was surprised to see Lyrana sitting in there with Jules, who was sobbing into his hands.

" Forgive the intrusion but I over heard ..."
" Me crying like a lamb. My cargo ship is late and my coolers are empty. Commodore I am ruined. " Jules replied.

" Good Morning Commodore...I was helping my friend." Lady Lyrana greeted.

Sureth nodded and then paused.
" Jules the Starfleet will rent your space until your shipment arrives. I will instruct the galley to serve family style meals for the crew and use your restaurant to seat the crew." Sureth replied.

Lyrana smiled as did Jules.
" May the universe bless you.

Sureth went to exit but then paused as Lyrana joined him as he exited.

" I could use an escort to the lift?" Lyrana asked. Sureth wasted not time in his response as he motioned for her to join him. With no words exchanged Sureth cordially took Lyrana to the lift and even opened the door.

" Thank you Commodore." Lyrana said with appreciation.
" You are welcome. " Sureth shyly replied.

As the doors to the lift closed Sureth paused as if more needed to be said for this moment. On the other side Lyrana being a listener waited for Sureth to speak but accepted the silence to follow.

Sueeth was headed to the brig to speak to the new visitor being detained there. His son in law 2nd Lieutenant John Dallas had been assigned as that beings personal guard.

Leviiath was there and interacting with the jailers when John Dallas arrived to relieve them. John nodded to the prisoner and sat down at his desk. Some cookie crumbs dropped from his uniform as he wiped them away.

" You have lovely children." Leviiath stated.
" I do but what do you know of them?" John replied.
" We are aware of much about this crew from Isabella. She has great effection for you John. She also enjoys David's attention. Who is David? But you do not have joy when thinking about David." Leviiath replied.

" My wife...Isabella is a good officer. "
" I am sure she is good at Counseling Commander Wallace." Leviiath replied.

His words bothered John but that went away when Commodore Sureth entered the brig.

" John you are relieved." Sureth commanded.
" I have this Commodore."
" So do I John. This being is manipulating you with his mind. I sensed it when I entered. He is a criminal on the moon and that is why he was placed there. " Sureth replied.

John exited and Sureth now would be watching Leviiath.

" I almost had him. Now I will talk to you Sureth of Vulcan. Your mind is very powerful but your heart ..you have many loves . Who knew a Vulcan had so much passion. What do you want Sureth?"

" I want to know what you hoped to accomplish?" Sureth asked.
" I wanted to be free. To leave my oppressors. " Leviiath replied.
" Research and Development says your idea to create a star is possible. Were you serious?" Sureth asked.

" Youe people are not capable of such technology. This system makes and destroys suns every day. Only with my help could one survive." Leviiath boasted.

" If I could arrange for a fair trial for you would you help us achieve this?" asked Sureth.
" A free trial for what? I have broken no crimes here?"

" But Uriah says you have . If he comes for you I must let him take you." Sureth replied.

Leviiath said nothing and walked away from the cell door.

" You have one day to decide Leviiath. " Sureth then added.

" If I help you I want to be free." Leviiath demanded.
" If you truly help us I will do my best to help you. " Sureth replied as he believed deep down Leviiath was a good person.

John returned and looked his father in-law in the eyes.

" May I resume my post now?"
" Yes I don't see why not." replied Sureth.

John struggled to be useful again as he was coping with the enemies in his mind. The Breen brain washer had done a number on him.

After exiting the brig it was almost time to return to the observation deck so Sureth entered a lift going up. Almost there the lift stopped as passengers entered. One was Lyrana the El Aurian lady from earlier smiling as she stood beside Sureth.

There was no longer a moon over Aurelia but Sureths mind paused as he imagined one day seeing a sun above those barren Plains.
