Station Post - Resolve

[Sick Bay]

Doctor Williams was at the end of his shift when his thoughts went to the past few weeks; between the Assul, Captain Vehn's decision to become a Symbiont host, and the untimely death of Captain Deke Rivers among others of course as well as all those little things that pop up on the Station, he realized there was something or someone who had caught the brunt of his hectic life and unimaginable duties.

There was something he needed to resolve....no, felt compelled to resolve. Walking over to Lieutenant Stone and in a low voice "Hi. I was wondering if you would allow me to take you to dinner this evening on the Promenade; there are some things I would like to discuss with you of a personal nature. That is if you are free of course" Ramvek inquired.

Heidi stood a few moments surprised at the invitation "Are you sure you have the time Doctor" she inquired with just a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"Ouch! I guess I deserved that" he replied "I am making time for once; maybe eighteen hundred in civilian attire for a change if that's acceptable."

Looking at Ramvek for a few minutes before answering, and making him sweat a little "Alright. Eighteen hundred and civilian attire is acceptable but don't you dare be late" Heidi answered deciding to do things on her terms for once.

[Heidi's Quarters]

Ramvek palmed the door chime, right on time, then waited for an answer holding one red carnation, knowing that was her favorite flower, while thinking we may have to start from square one with Heidi since he had neglected her these past few weeks.

Opening the door Heidi smiled "Please come in, I'm almost ready" as she stood back allowing Ramvek to enter.

Walking in he handed her the flower "A beautiful flower for a beautiful lady" he commented with a smile.

Accepting the flower "And of course you gave me my favorite kind of flower along with a nice compliment" Heidi stated "Well that's a start Ramvek." Grabbing a light cover "So where are we going for dinner?"

"There is a nice little Bistro I recently discovered and thought it would be a nice place for dinner" he answered with a smile thinking "So far so good."

"Sounds nice" she replied with a grin; she was going to make him work to get back in her good graces.

[Promenade]

The two Officers walked along talking as they approached a nice little Bistro sort in an out of the way place among all the other businesses "Here we are" Ramvek commented then gestured "Ladies first" as he held the door open for her to enter. Once inside they were greeted by the Host then ushered to a table for two. He made sure to pull out her chair for her to be seated as Heidi thought "He's pulling out all the stops this evening" as she looked up "Thank you" before Ramvek sat across the table from her.

While they were waiting for their dinners to arrive "Heidi you look quite lovely this evening, if I may say" Ramvek stated with a smile trying to break the tension somewhat.

"Thank you and you rather dashing yourself" Heidi replied with a grin thinking "Maybe it was time to ease up a little on him."

When their dinners arrived they sat eating and talking about anything other than duties. Laying down his utensils "Heidi I owe you a profound apology for not being around these past several weeks because of my duties" then he paused a moment looking into her beautiful blue eyes "You certainly deserve so much better and I full well intend to change my ways" he stated with sincerity in his voice.

Letting out a sigh "Apology accepted, but I'll believe it when I see it" she replied wanting him to change as much as he did if not more.

"I do not blame you for being skeptical but you will see my intentions to make more room for you in my life as time goes on" he stated with a smile. The two talked while they finished their dinners. Paying the bill they left and headed back to Heidi's quarters.

[Heidi's]

Opening the door she turned "Would you like to come in and have a drink for awhile; we can talk some more if you'd like."

"Yes, I would very much enjoy spending some more time with you this evening" Ramvek replied as they walked in.

"Make yourself comfortable while I go change" she commented as Ramvek smiled then went and sat on the couch. Minutes later Heidi returned "Would you like a glass of wine?"

"Yes thank you that would be nice" he answered with a smile.

Moments later Heidi returned handing Ramvek one of the glasses before sitting beside him wondering what was going to happen next; it was almost like a first date all over again.

After sipping his wine a few minutes he placed it on the table in front of the couch then turned facing Heidi "I would be lost if you were no longer in my personal life; I wanted you to know that" then he paused "I very much would like to spend much more of my free time with you and see where our relationship goes."

Smiling moving a little closer to him "I'd like that very much. I know you are dedicated to your profession and I would not have it any other way....that's what makes you such a great Doctor but I think you need to find a balance between duty and your personal life" then she paused "I'd like to help with that if you'll let me."

Smiling hearing her words "Yes I could use a life coach and I can't think of anyone better for the task than you" Ramvek replied "May I be so bold as to kiss you?"

"I'd like that" Heidi whispered now being very close to him. Leaning in Ramvek gave Heidi a passionate kiss for several minutes enjoying her so much.

Looking into his eyes with a grin "I really missed that" she whispered then returned his kiss and even more so. The couple sat kissing for quite some time trying to rekindle what they had before.

Shortly Heidi realized the time "As much as I hate this to end it is getting rather late and I'm on the Alpha shift tomorrow" she stated really not wanting Ramvek to leave.

Holding her hand they both stood "You are right and I should be going and let you get some sleep; I will be in a little later in the morning; there is something I need to attend to before I start my duties" then smiling at her "Thank you for a great evening and your understanding."

"You're welcome and thank you, I had a very nice time tonight" as Heidi leaned in and gave him a good night kiss. Smiling Ramvek turned and left for his quarters.

[Sick Bay]

Lieutenant Stone reported to work right on time then proceeded to check to see who was on Staff for the Alpha Shift. Several minutes later a gentleman entered the area "Excuse me, are you Lieutenant Stone" came the inquiry.

Turning Heidi saw a bouquet, in a vase, of red and white carnations in his hand "I'm lieutenant Stone" Heidi replied with a smile.

Walking forward "Then these are for you and there is a card enclosed also" as he handed her the flowers then left.

Setting the vase on a nearby cart Heidi opened the card. It simply read "Thank you for last night" and signed Your Future Lover. Heidi wiped a tear from her eye with a big smile on her face "Ramvek" she whispered her heart full of joy.
