ON:

Upon leaving the meeting with Sureth, Vehn, and Wallace, Green had gone back to her quarters to relax for a little bit, to just sit in silence and collect herself. She had rushed into something and came out looking a bit foolish due to lack of patience. ~Get it together, girl. You are a Meji Master, after all~ She grinned to herself at the thought and stepped into her rooms. "Kara? You in?" No answer. Quiet, and she could sense no other presence but her own. Seeing the PADD on the coffee table, and laying face up with some text on it, she stepped in and picked it up. Reading it her eyes went slightly wider, and she wanted to be upset, but she calmed herself.

This was Kara's life. If Ro rushed to follow her and intervened, then the Master would be responsible for destroying all that her student had fought and suffered for. It was a hard call, but if she followed impulsively that meant that she was allowing attachment to determine the course of action; and attachment always led to pain and suffering on one level or another. Plus, with the meeting she had just had, Green felt she was needed here for a while until everyone got settled into their roles with her back, and all assets and resources had been seen to. Duty. That, and she needed to write a letter to Admiral Stone and explain her change of heart, to report on the want to stay in active service. Her dad would chuckle at that, having asked her back when she laid it all out to him if this was what she really wanted. Obviously not, she thought. Aaron Stone knew her all too well as her dad, her mentor, and a superior officer. With all this in mind, Ro Green sat down, leaned back in her chair as she crossed her legs at the thigh, and began to dictate the letter to the Director of Starfleet Personnel, Rear Admiral Aaron Stone.
