USS Asia-A is one of the oldest Ambassador class ships in service in Star Fleet, having been in service since 2348.  Throughout her history this ship has been commanded by several notable captains, but her current commander started his rise in Star Fleet.

The USS Asia-A no longer resembles the original Ambassador class as since being taken command of by the enigmatic Commodore Wallace,  it has undergone massive refits, including improvements to its structures, armament and facilities.
