Mission: SHAKE DOWN IN A NEBULA
Location: C.S.S. Quazi-Moto
Timeline: Current

ON:

Captain Ro Kudo sat in the center of her main office as Fleet Captain. It had been designed and built according to her parameters for when it had existed on the old M-69. A wide open central area, with a lounge area to her left as she faced the door, and a small dry bar to the right with high backed stools for guests. In her Meji robes, the hooded cloak removed and hung up on the coat rack, Ro sat cross-legged on the floor, eyes closed and hands resting on her knees as she was in deep meditation as she opened herself to the power of the Force. Currently, she could sense a level of calm with things around M-69 at peace. There was joy and happiness that all was going well, not only from the station occupants, but coming from the population down below on the surface of Aurelia. The surveyors and the Starfleet Corps of Engineers anxious to get to work and complete at least one surface colony to further planetary exploration and discovery. Then, without effort, a wave of familiarity hit her like a warm breeze on a cold morning.

The corners of Ro's mouth turned up slightly with a grin even as she directed her Force SENSE towards that beacon of essence. Yui. Her daughter was closer than she had anticipated, and getting closer with each passing minute as she most assuredly was travelling at light speed to get here. Ro had heard that her daughter had attained a fair amount of notice from the Federation Science Bureau due to Yui's contribution to scientific observations through several minor papers she had written in regards to various disciplines. Being an Augment, Ro's Augment genes had been passed on to her daughter. Not to mention the Q essence that flowed through every cell in Yui's body due to the Q named Qeritas who had given a portion of herself to prevent Yui's death and annihilation. To this day Ro often wondered if that was due to Qeritas actually being altruistic enough to save a carbon based lifeform, or if it was some ulterior motive yet to be discovered. Either way, Ro was thankful that her daughter was still alive.

Being who she was, Yui Kudo did not need to sleep. However, even she knew that sleep was a time when the mind could relax and close down, a time when all that had been learned over days could be ran through the subconscious and added to indefinite memory. So, after spending days in research and education, and once she had her ship under way, Yui had decided to sleep for a few hours to allow her mind to refresh and reboot. Lying on her right side, a purr in her throat with each breath, she was brought awake by a tickling on her lips and nose which she had tried to swipe away a few times already. To no avail, when her hand went back to resting, the tickle happened again. After the third attempt to rid herself of the tickle her eyes popped open to see what it was that was causing it. Her gaze met the smiling face of one of her best friends, a person she thought of as a sister: Caitriss Zethra. To all who knew her well she was just Cait.

Yui gave her a crooked grin, rolled her eyes and began to do a kitty stretch. "You are such a kitten, Cait." She said as she stretched, then yawned, and rolled onto her back. Once on her back and done stretching, Cait scooched in close and cuddled up to her, kissing Yui on the cheek.

"Good morning," Cait said with a light giggle.

The two of them had caused enough of a stir to awaken the other person on Yui's other side. Salwah Amir, or Sally as she was known, to roll over and snuggle against Yui's left side, kissing her other cheek. "You two are so noisy." Sally said with pseudo-irritation even as she snuggled in for hugs, three of them cuddling together as was the Catfolk way for a few minutes before they were all three finally awake enough to get motivated. Purrs, head rubs and ear scritches to be had aplenty. It was all very warm and fuzzy.

"Alright, time to get up and get dressed," Yui reminded them. "We'll be at M-69 soon enough and I want a good shower and breakfast that isn't rushed." She writhed out of their arms and crawled to the end of the bed, all three of them nude since it was all females here.

Cait giggled. "I'd follow that butt anywhere." To which Sally added. "Me too." And, they did just that, getting on Yui's heels to all shower together. Quazi society had a very Japanese way of looking at life, and to shower with several people at once was not frowned upon. It was readily accepted, as were the gender specific bath houses on Quaza and other Catfolk worlds.

Yui got the water going in the multiple shower heads all angling to a more central area, with the three gals stepping in to rinse and wet their hair. As a species who loved water, Quazi had a specialized tympanic membrane. Like a sea mammal's blowhole, the membrane reacted at the subconscious level, closing off the ear canal so that water would not get into it while one washed their ears, inside and out. They could swim without fear of causing earaches due to excess fluid in the canals, which was a biological boon for a people who loved every aspect of water; especially being in it for bathing and frolicking.

The comparison from one cat girl to the other was quite striking. Yui was a fair-olive complexion like her Japanese heritage due to her father's genetics. Raven black hair with a tail covered in a thick, short downy fur of the same color along her tail which sprouted out of her back right where the lower spine began to run into the crease for her butt crack. Solid black and sleek. A prehensile tail, lengthy like all Catfolk had, that could be used to pick up light objects if one took the time to train their mind to do so. It also provided an extra amount of balance as it would naturally go one way or the other to maintain a balanced footing.

Cait, for her part, was fair skinned. Her hair was blonde, but her fur was a bright pink, which added pink highlights to her hair. The pink was a natural color for her people. Where Yui had the vertical slit pupils and a rich brown color to her eyes, Cait's eyes were a deep, gemlike sapphire blue. Then, with Sally, she was the icon for diversity in the Quazi species. Her skin was a rich milk chocolate and without blemish. Her hair and fur were both a rich, royal, all-natural purple. Her eyes were like two emeralds glinting in the sun, deep green and mesmerizing. The girls talked, laughed and washed each other's backs, then stepped out and continued to chatter as they dried and went to dress. Cait's ears were as catlike as the other two, though a tad shorter, with Yui having the next tallest, and Sally's ears taller than both of her peers.

Once dry, the girls went back to Yui's cabin and got dressed in their kunoichi bodysuits. This flexible skintight bodysuit covered everything from their shoulders to their ankles. Both of its wrist-length sleeves are just as tight, yet the entire suit never squeezes too hard when they move; almost like wearing nothing at all. Its purple lotus-colored tabard with a deep neck exposes much of the chest, too, but dim embroidered bands around the collar and waist of the tabard let the wearer easily adjust just how little — or much — you show off. Its extra length can easily be wrapped and secured as a skirt or let hang loose, depending on how much tush one wants to show off. The footwear consisted of a pair of low-heeled geta — open-top sandals — that come with purple lotus-colored leggings attached. Whilst the leggings go up just above the knee, it wraps over part of the foot so the heel and toes poke out. Unlike most pairs of heels, however, this footwear makes no sound when stepping. For those without human-like feet, you can simply wear the leggings without the geta. Easy to wear and sexy, perfect for sneaking around and throwing off pursuers without sacrificing one's sense of fashion. All three girls wrapped the tabard about themselves in a manner of a thigh-length skirt, making sure their tails were comfortably brought through the materials without hinderance. Finally, a belt. A traditional senninbari haramaki that wrapped around their bodies at the abdomen, in which they each slid a brace if hidden throwing knives made from Quazi Vortanium alloy. Once dressed they all saw to each other with tucks and smoothing before they left the cabin and headed to the Bridge of the sleek transport/combat vessel.

Yui took the center seat for the main pilot, seeing to helm and weapons and defense. Cait took the SCI station, and Sally sat down at OPS for power distribution and maintenance. Kami, Yui's BB droid, rolled up next to her as she sat down. She looked over and down, smiling. "Hello, Kami. How are you today?"

"I am good, Miss Yui." Kami answered. "All systems functioning above standard, for your convenience."

Yui reached down and patted his rotund body. "I can always count on you, Kami. You have my thanks. Are you ready to detach the X-wing when needed and pilot in behind us?"

"Just give the word, Miss, and I shall perform that need."

Smiling again, Yui gave the droid a wink. "That's why I love ya, Kami. Once we arrive and drop from light speed, use the top hatch and board the X-wing. You can detach and follow us in to the bay for the Fleet Captain."

"I shall go wait by the hatch." Kami stated this and then rolled away and out of the Bridge.

Cait looked back over her shoulder, grinning. "How do you do that?"

Yui was still smiling as she looked to her friend. "Do what?"

"Garner such loyalty from our droid companions?"

"I treat them as intelligent beings who are more than just servants, that's all." Answered Yui. "Kami would risk his own life to aid me. How can I do any less for him?"

Sally glanced over at the two. "She's got a point, Caitriss. Sure, he's just a droid but, his loyalty to Yui is without flaw. Just with you two, I would try with all I am to kill anything or anyone who tried to do you harm. Why would a droid be any different as a thinking being?"

Cait gave it a moment's thought. "Hmm. True. Something to remember."

Yui gave a giggle. "Cait, you're a sweetie. Never forget how hard our droids work to make our lives that much better. Not all are as self aware as a BB unit, but being kind is being kind, right?"

"Exactly," Sally added, giving a side grin to Cait. "We love you, kitten. Give your droids more hellos, good mornings and chats. You'd be surprised at how much more they will do for you. Make them feel like a part of your life, not just your home."

They continued to talk as the ship continued towards M-69. The closer they got the more anxious Yui became about seeing her mother. It had been a while and her mother had not seen her new appearance yet, with Yui sending emails or speaking on audio only, always some excuse as to why she could not use visual. She calmed herself as best she could as the minutes ticked by.
