Location: USS NAZGUL
Timeline: Current

After the Captain and Billi left, Sheyla earmarked the computer to inform her when Doctor Holbrook's biosignature appeared back on board. Getting back into her paperwork it took about an hour before she was informed that Len Holbrook had arrived back aboard the Nazgul. Asking her location the computer informed Sheyla that the Doctor was currently in her quarters. Getting up from her desk the Doctor made her way out of Sickbay and headed for the junior officer quarters for medical staff. Arriving at Holbrook's door she tapped the chime and waited.

"Enter." Len said as she headed towards the door. The door opens and she sees Sheyla. "Come on in, What can I do for ya?"

Sheyla gave a smile as she stepped inside and around Holbrook. "Sorry for the intrusion...Len? That's right isn't it, you prefer Len for short?" Sheyla was beginning to feel like some kind of stalker, first ringing the chime and then stepping inside without being invited to do so.

"Yes, I prefer being called Len and there is no intrusion." Len said.

"Whew, good." Sheyla said. "I had a meeting with the Captain and number One, and as you can see," she motioned to her collar line and the cuffs of her shirt. "I got a promotion. We went back and forth for a bit about things and I brought you up in the conversation. So, being Andorian, and prone to making a long story short, I went to bat for you, too. The Captain and Exec have agreed to sign off on you regaining your full lieutenant status and have probably sent off the request as we speak." She placed her hands on her hips like a person who had just finished a project and was pleased with herself, even wagging her eyebrows at Len as she did so. "Whatcha think?"

Len grins, "That's amazing, thank you. And congratulations on your promotion as well."

"Thanks," Sheyla said. "Least I can do for my partner in profession." Her eyes squinted in mirth as she had to ask a certain question. "So, tell me, was Kirk as sexy in person as he is in all the holovids and Starfleet data files?" She laughed.

Len laughed, "Yes, he really was. It was always interesting trying to keep him from getting into scrapes."

"Captain Bjorgo and I were an item," Sheyla said, all her exuberance seeming to fade as she spoke. Her expression showed she was still happy, just thoughtful on the new subject. "But, we figured it would be best to call an end to things with him running off to aid the Federation. If it's meant to be we'll find each other again."

Len nodded. "That is true. The person I was involved with is still in a different time and place. I have been too busy the last year and a half to find someone."

Sheyla's good nature returned now that the subject of her old flame had passed. "Looks like you did, though." Sheyla said with a knowing smile. "Mister Loewen seemed to be rather taken with you. I offered the drinks some time out of politeness, and he responded with politeness, but I could tell he had other ideas. Andorians are more aggressive in their approach but I promise to remain distant as a friend."

Len felt her cheek heat in a blush. "He is charming."

Seeing her cheeks flush a bit, Sheyla stepped in like a girlfriend would. "I didn't mean to bring attention to it. My apologies. Just girl talk. You should hear Billi and I after a few drinks." She gave a light cackle. "The things I've heard from her would make your toes curl. Anyway, no guy gossip unless you bring it up. Fair?" She gave a cheeky grin.

Len nodded, " Agreed. And he might be on his way back to our quarters."

"Convenient," Sheyla said, being cheeky. "But, I better get going anyway. Captain Green wanted me to let you know that you have been field promoted until the confirmation comes from HQ. Congratulations, Lieutenant. We'll have plenty of time to talk during work hours. Take care." She gave Len a squeeze to the upper arm in solidarity and then departed.

Len gave a smile and headed towards the kitchenette and grabbed a water. The alcohol had left her system and she did not need to get dehydrated.
