It had been a week since the Champions ship had deployed to the Lagoon to retrieve the Princess and no word had been received.

As the Assul awaited the Champions return the many voices were not assured that this Champion would accomplish the goal, resulting in a call for more action.

A consensual vote declared the Champion was lost and now a second mission to recover the Princess was necessary.

Three even larger Assul battle cruisers met at a targeted point and picked up the last known trajectory as the Champions vessel.

On a long quest for Starbase M-69.

The 3 Assul battle ships were well warn due to the elements but they were still as effective as the Champions flag ship.

" Sensors detect a second Federation ship on approach. That is 2 starships and a scout class ship." announced the tactical weapons officer.

" What of the Champion?" asked the Commander of the flag ship.

" The transponder is off line. There is no evidence of the Stellar weapon being used . Analysis is it has just lost power to the transponder." Tactical replied.

" That was the Champions first mistake. Open a channel to the base and inform them the Grand Fleet is here and open for their surrender."
