Station Post #1 Future Plans Pt.1

Now that the station was at peace once again, the Captain had granted leave for the Crew so Johan was eager to get himself and his future bride off the Ship for a couple of days and spend some time together on the station.

Johan woke and looking over to his right he saw Sarissa still asleep looking as lovely as ever. Leaning over he gave her a kiss on the cheek which prompted her to stir then open her eyes looking at Johan "Good morning sweetheart, I thought I would get some coffee going for us" Johan commented with a smile.

Sarissa smiled as she stretched out under the cosy bed covers. “Good morning to you too handsome. That sounds wonderful, I won’t be too long.”

Getting out of bed he threw on a pair of shorts, since he usually slept naked, then headed for the replicator for their morning beverages. Shortly he looked up seeing Sarissa walk over wearing a short cover belted at the waist as he sipped his favorite morning beverage "Your coffee's all set, but be careful it's hot" he warned her with a smile.

“That’s not the only thing that’s hot” Sarissa grinned as she paused to kiss Johan on the cheek trailing her fingers over his chest for a moment before moving to pick up her coffee. “So what’s our plan for today? That’s if we have a plan.”

After she had taken a sip of coffee Johan leaned in and kissed her on the neck tenderly then looked her in the eyes with a grin "Maybe the plan should be taking you back to bed for awhile" then he paused "Actually I thought we might walk around the Promenade on the Base and maybe start looking at wedding items that you might like to have."

“Now that sounds wonderful” Sarissa nodded enthusiastically at the idea. “I would like to look at a wedding dress, and some honeymoon items too.”

Johan smiled "Whatever you'd like sweetheart. My mission in our life together is making you happy" he stated with sincerity in his voice.

“As mine is to make you happy Imzadi.” Sarissa smiled warmly. “We have to find you some things too.”

After finishing their coffee Johan stood and offered his hand to Sarissa "I'm going to grab a shower if you'd like to join me" he commented with a big grin.

“Now there’s something I can’t refuse!” Sarissa grinned as she took hold of Johan’s hand.

The couple walked into the bathroom removing their clothes along the way. Needless to say they enjoyed a rather lengthy shower. When finished Johan suggested "Sweetheart, why don't we get dressed, go to the Promenade, and have brunch then we can start looking for items for our wedding."

“That sounds ideal” Sarissa grinned. “You could say I’ve started working up an appetite after our shower.”

Hearing Sarissa's comment Johan just grinned "Ya, I know what you mean" he replied. He dressed then went into the living area to give Sarissa some privacy in the dressing department. Shortly the couple left the Ship and beamed down to the Promenade deck on the Base.

Holding hands the couple leisurely started walking around the area when Johan asked "There's a little eatery up ahead, would you like to try there for brunch."

“Sure” Sarissa nodded. “I think I’ve heard mention of it actually, it’s supposed to be a nice place to eat.”

"Works for me" Johan replied with a smile as the couple walked in and were seated. A few minutes later an older women walked over "Welcome to Millie's" as she gave each one a menu "Look these over and I'll be back shortly to take your orders. In the meantime would you like some coffee?"

"That would be great" Johan replied "One for the each of us; cream and sugar if you please." The women turned and brought each of them a mug of hot coffee along with cream and sugar "So what would you like to eat" she inquired with a smile.

Johan looked to Sarissa " Ladies first" he stated.

“Hmm I’ll go for the Bajoran ratamba stew, with Linguine please.” Sarissa smiled warmly before looking to Johan to see what he wanted.

Looking over the menu "I'll have a western omelet with hash browns and a side of crispy bacon please" Johan commented with a smile.

"Excellent choices folks; I'll be back with your orders shortly" the women replied then turned and left for the kitchen.

Reaching across the table Johan took Sarissa's hand and said with a smile "It is so nice to be off the ship and spend time with my favorite girl."

“It is nice” Sarissa held onto Johan’s hand. “Just to get to spend uninterrupted time together. Being on the ship is okay, but being able to stretch our legs off ship is even better!”

"I couldn't agree more" he replied with a smile as their food arrived "Here you go folks" as she set their meals in front of them "Please enjoy and if you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask" the women suggested. "Thank you, we'll keep that in mind" Johan answered.

Johan was famished as he started eating his meal then paused a moment "Oh, this is so good. I forget how good real food can taste after eating replicator food all the time."

“I miss having real food, that’s why this is such a treat” Sarissa smiled warmly. “It’s nice to savour the flavour after having had replicated food for so long.”

"That's one of the drawbacks of serving on a ship but I guess it makes us appreciate real food all the more" Johan replied with a grin. The couple talked while they finished brunch. When finished he paid the bill then turned to Sarissa "So where to next?"

“I saw a shop on our way here advertising wedding dresses in the window, so I’d like to look there please” Sarissa smiled warmly.

"That sounds like a good place to start; that is unless you want the wedding to be 'la natural'" he replied with a light chuckle. The couple left and headed straight for the Shop. Walking in Johan couldn't believe all the dresses on display as he look at Sarissa "I hope you have an idea of what you'd like there sure is enough styles to choose from."

“Well...I’m not going ‘la natural’ as you put it, though being naked is tradition on Betazed. I would, however, like a dress that shows some...cleavage, shall we say?” She smiled a wry smile.

Johan just smirked "Well I for one am glad you don't wish to carry on with that particular tradition" then he paused "Although I rather do enjoy seeing a nice amount of cleavage" then lowering his voice "Especially when it's yours" as he bumped into Sarissa teasingly.

Sarissa grinned a wry grin. “Then I’ll make sure I pick something that you’ll like.” She looked around seeing what would catch her eye first.

Johan followed Sarissa as she perused the dresses along the wall waiting for her to see something she might like; after all the wedding is all about the Bride.

Sarissa was enjoying herself but choosing was proving difficult, at least until she came to a white dress with red trim around the bodice and rear of the dress. The red accented the dress quite nicely and what bling there was on the bodice worked beautifully. “I like this, what do you think?”

Looking at the dress "I think it looks rather lovely" then he paused a moment "And I think it would look stunning on you" Johan answered with a smile "I think you should purchase it since you seem rather taken with this dress."

“Maybe I should, but I’ll need to try it first for fit, and that’s the part you can’t see. Bad luck or so they say.” Sarissa gave a wry smile.

"Well, we wouldn't want that. Tell you what I'll go wait out in the Promenade while you try it on. When you're finished, I'll be waiting for you out there" Johan explained with a smile.

Sarissa nodded and kissed him on the cheek. “I won’t be too long I promise!”

Johan smiled "Take your time, after all you only get married once" then returned her kiss on the cheek before exiting the Shoppe and finding a bench to sit on at the Promenade.

Turning to look at the dresses Sarissa picked up one that looked her size and headed for the changing room. She couldn’t wait to try on the dress and see how it looked. The shop assistant offered a warm smile as she waited for Sarissa to re-emerge so she could help with arranging and fitting the dress properly.

Johan sat on the Promenade waiting patiently for Sarissa to find just the right dress for what was to be one of the most important days in either of their lives. While waiting he was thinking to about his life before he met her "I used to play the field going from women to women thinking only of myself and my interests.....that is until I met Sarissa.....there is just something about that women....she changed my life and how I perceive a women" as a big smile came across his face.

Dress tried on Sarissa stood looking at herself in the shop mirrors. “It’s gorgeous! I’ll take it!” She smiled warmly. “Please see to it the dress is packaged and sent across to the USS Peel.”

The shop assistant nodded and smiled as she helped Sarissa back to the changing room to unzip the rear of the dress for her.

~ A little while later ~

Emerging from the store Sarissa carried some bags with a few extra goodies inside, one item was something intended to surprise Johan with later that evening. “I’m all done, dress ordered and delivery to the Peel sorted.”

Johan stood with a smile on his face "Fantastic! So where to now or do you want to return to the ship and drop off your bag first; your call" he commented.

“Let’s drop off the bags and then we can carry on without worrying about losing anything.” Sarissa smiled warmly.

The couple walked leisurely back to the Ship talking about their future together along the way.
