Capernum: Are we moving?

Posted on Thu Apr 10th, 2025 @ 2:43am by Lieutenant Commander Sean Loewen {Meji} & Lieutenant Lenore (Len) Holbrook

Mission: CAPERNUM: {CD&MISSION} On Duty
Location: Nazgul/Capernum
Timeline: current/somewhere in between

ON:

Having gone back to Nazgul, Sean Loewen walked with a standard gait even though there was a bit of pick up in pace. Arriving at his destination, Sickbay, Loewen went inside and made a B-line for the CMO's office. The door was shut but not locked shut, so on approach it opened at his presence and he gave a casual lean on the doorjam. "Hey, Doc. Getting everything squared away for the Nazgul's final voyage?"

Len looked up from her report with a smile. "Yes. I have to say that I will miss this ship, but I suppose the Capernum will be just as good."

Loewen gave a sighing chuckle as he came all the way into the office. He was sure that everyone aboard knew that the Doctor and the current CO were an item, so he went over and leaned down, giving Len a quick peck on the lips to maintain decorum. "She's a beauty. I went over last night and spoke to Captain Green. Nazgul has 150, Capernum can comfortably house 550. Plus, I won't be the captain. I'm going back to Helm and will be the 2XO, according to Green."

Len nodded. "For what it is worth, you were a good Captain. I'm sure you'll be a Captain again."

Loewen knelt on one knee, leaning on his left arm atop her desk at the corner. It was more comfortable to look her in the eye than to constantly be looking down, and her having to look up. "When I'm ready, sure. I got a taste, we all did excellent, and we all survived. I couldn't ask for more. But," he let that trail off a moment, getting to the meat of why he came in. "I take it you are going to accept the transfer to USS Capernum?"

"Of course I'm accepting the transfer, it's a good opportunity and you'll be there." She said, blushing slightly.

"Good to know," Sean said, giving her a grin. "I'll let Captain Green know that I am all in, officially. I had to make sure you were coming along or I would have to say no. I want to be close to where you are, if not exactly where you are, as much as possible. Having said that," he went on. "Should we consider co-habitation?"

Len looked into his eyes for a moment before nodding. "They would need to be close to Sickbay, but yes we should Co-habitate." She said with a grin.

Sean gave her a crooked smile. "I have no problem living in the CMO's quarters. You do need to be close to Sickbay and there is a lift right around the bend from Sickbay. Not a problem." He leaned in again, giving Len a lingering light kiss. "You just made my day, Doctor. I'm going to go to the CO's quarters and start packing my things. The sooner we're all over on Capernum, the better."

"I'll finish up here, then pack and meet you back at our quarters." She said before giving him another kiss. When it ends she gives a light laugh, "Now out of my Sickbay."

"Yes, ma'am," Sean chuckled out after she said that. Getting to his feet Loewen gave her a loving squeeze to a shoulder and then left her office. The Sickbay staff noted his energetic steps and the grin on his face as he left the medical bay. Whatever it was Doctor Holbrook was doing for that man it was obviously working.
