Lieutenant JG Gavin Lasso, in his role as Gavin of House Kehlani, walked along beside his guest. Lieutenant Kehzza walked with him, the two of them discussing a great many things; whatever came to mind was another opportunity to show the other that they knew more than just their jobs. Rumors, innuendo, stories, nothing was off limits. They spoke clearly and laughed a lot, what with how Gavin liked to look at everything with a somewhat cynical viewpoint. The man was, after all, old enough as an El-Aurian to remember when the NX-22 Malta went missing. He had been a citizen of the Federation, living on a colony not too far from where they were now, plying the space lanes on freighters and transports for work. The perfect occupation for learning how the galactic economy moves and how fragile it can be with even one incident interfering with it. Not to mention all the rumors and information one could gather by merely working and listening to those around you.
The two of them stopped in front of the entrance to the Klingon Eatery: gaH! That was it. A simple name to denote the main course served within. There would be bloodwine and other libations of choice to wash one's gaH down with. There were even more dishes to choose from, but for expedience ordering gaH would get a person fed much quicker. "Shall we?" He asked his guest.
Kehzza gave a sidelong look into the eatery, full of mainly Klingons, but there were other species who appreciated Klingon cuisine and had ventured inside to experience the Klingon culture first hand. To say it was loud and boisterous inside was an understatement, with some Klingons arguing playfully but loudly, with still other groups singing songs and cheering whatever it was they felt like cheering at that time. "We shall." Kehzza took the lead and walked inside, Gavin on her heels, with patrons parting to allow them to reach the ordering counter. Both of them ordered gaH steeped in bloodwine and the blood of the rokeg, making not only their prorein rich meal more tasteful, but the rokeg blood added vitamins and minerals to the already potent source of nourishment. Getting their, the occupants still squirming and writhing around, they made their way to a far corner for a bit of privacy from being jostled too much by the surrounding bodies. Two fingers and his thumb, Gavin reached in and pinched a wholesome portion of worms and shoved them into his mouth, immediately beginning to chew to deter any survivors from making it to his intestines alive and thereby attaching themselves and making him the meal. He chewed heartily, his mind enjoying the satisfying crunch now and then as his teeth did their duty and ended the life of that which he had chosen to consume.
Kehzza, for her part, was doing the same. They had each grabbed a cloth napkin and tucked them hanging from their belts to clean their hands when done. They were busy chewing so all they could muster were eyes for one another and a few silent giggles and wagging eyebrows while they ate. When Klingons ate, they ate. Talking was for after the belly was seen to and one could focus on the topic at hand. Both of them finished their bowls of gaH, both of them belching to show their bellies were now full and satisfied. They set their empty bowls on a nearby table and cleaned their hands and faces. "Wait," Kehzza said, stepping in close. "You missed some in your beard."
Taking the cloth napkin from Gavin, Kehzza then began to wipe away the gaH sauce and bits from his facial hair. She had finished the task fairly quickly and was now deep in thought about this man and who he was. Her hand played the part of 'concerned' woman, but there was little she was doing to make it any cleaner. Then, without preamble, Kehzza's eyes lit up as if she just got hit with an epiphany. Without hesitation she grabbed a fistful of his facial hair on the right side of his face, turning his face to look her in the eyes. Leaning in with her mouth slightly agape, Kehzza began to huff and take in his scent, a low moan escaping her mouth as she took in the scent of a strong male who had attracted her attention.
Gavin, now feeling Kehzza's sudden change, went along with it and made no effort to pull his beard free of her grasp. His gaze met hers, their eyes locking in complete understanding. There was the slightest of nods between them and then she angled her face to give a light bite to his chin. "I claim you mine, Gavin of House Kehlani. You, and no other."
Gavin's right hand came up and at first looked to cup her left cheek. But, the hand went over her cheek to around to the back of her neck, where he got a fistful of her hair at the nape of her neck. "I am yours but know this, woman. I claim you mine! None shall come between us! We Klingons often tout our prowess in battle, our desire for glory and honor above all else... but how hollow is the sound of victory without someone to share it with? Honor gives little comfort to a man alone in his home... and in his heart." He then kissed her in the Human fashion, which she wholeheartedly gave into, their grasping fists now turned into hands clutching each other close for a rowdy kiss full of every innuendo imaginable. They broke apart, both sluicing saliva from their lips as they smiled at each other.
"I am Kehzza, Par'Mach'kai to Lieutenant Gavin of House Kehlani. Forever."
"I am Gavin, Par'Mach'kai to Lieutenant Kehzza of House Kehlani. Forever."
Kehzza gave the Klingon equivalent of a female squeal of excitement, although to outsiders it would appear she was angry and send others diving for their knives. She hugged him again and they kissed again. "My heart swells with pride, Lover. We must announce our intentions, very soon."
"Then announce them," Gavin said casually, content to merely hold the wad of energy in his arms. "We shall wed when the time allows. Until then, I am wed to your soul and your heart, Kehzza. Let us walk some more. This place is too crowded."
"My thoughts exactly," Kehzza said. The two of them left gaH! it was now apparent to other Klingons that these two were something special to each other. They tended to remain fairly close to each other even while walking, with lots of subconscious hand placements to show their love through mundane actions even while not thinking about it. Outsiders would just see two close friends making a mockery of the silliness they were seeing on the Promenade. They continued their walkabout, the topic of their mating now closed since it had been spoken, and accepted, by each. Once it was announced officially, then they would bring it up as subject matter. But, for now, there was no further need.
