Mission: CAPERNUM: {CD&MISSION} On Duty
Location: Dark Harbor
Timeline: Current

ON:

Lt. Commander Sean Loewen, Starfleet officer and Meji Champion, casually walked around the massive city of Dark Harbor. He had been doing this nightly, alone, to get his bearings on where everything was. Len had seemed to understand and, truth be told, he needed some alone time like anyone else. He never stayed out too long, returning and then walking about with her at his side. It was good they be seen together since that was the story they had given to others but, being who he was as a Meji, there were times when he needed no distractions. Down along the boardwalk, the smells of the seashore a welcome change from the inner city, aided him in centering himself. Even now he stood on a length of dock listening to the waves and currents lapping at the structure beneath him. He wore his cloak like a mantle as before, with a belt around his waist to keep the folds of cloth in place, his saber and equipment placed upon it where easily accessible. His hood was up as he allowed himself to commune with the Force, pulling it inward as the hood contained his essence. Once he was secure in his Force binding Sean then sent it out like a sensor probe, his Sense reaching far and wide around the city as it took in various emotions and feelings from around him.

There, a tremor in the Force. He sensed malevolence, anger, and also fear. The fear, however, was coming from a different source than the anger and malevolence. Reaching up he pulled the hood off his head and let it fall back even as he spun around to look back at the night skyline for the city. Someone was manipulating the Force not too far distant from where he now stood. The Force aided him in this and as he continued to reach out with the energy field, his eyes came to rest on a tower within the inner walls of the government district. His mind came to the conclusion that whoever had manipulated the Force was within those walls, and a relaxing feeling ebbed through his being as the Force was telling him that his deduction was correct. How correct, he could not tell, but someone within the government here in Dark Harbor had the ability to use the Force and, it was not on the side of light. Using the Force as a compass and barometer all in one, for the arcane, he began to walk back into the city as his feet angled towards the government district and the main marketplace there. As quickly as it had come the tremor in the Force ceased. Gone. He could feel nothing further. Feeling a bit frustrated by all this, Sean angled his path back towards the hotel where he and Len shared a suite, thanks to Griffon's Ferengi buddy exchanging Federation credits for Latinum strips. He needed to sit and think on this, to meditate.

Dark Harbor was starting to show that it was a far more interesting place than they had come to realize before arriving here. Not having ever met Ainkara, Loewen was relying on the images he had seen of her from her personnel file to scan the faces in the crowd as he passed them. However, he knew that her appearance may have changed in ways he did not expect and that that could cause him to see her and walk right passed her without so much as a second glance. Again, the Force was his ally in this. He would find her, dead or alive, and put closure to her abduction one way or the other. Reaching his hotel he entered and headed for his suite.
