Captain Terry Kingston had always felt at home in or around the reactor room of a starship. And as he was not on one the reactor room of the starbase would have to suffice.

Entering this one Terry paused at a few things he would change were he the Chief but that was not his goal today. Today he would enjoy the ambience of the reactors glow and maybe even meet the stations chief.

" Midshipman where is your stations Chief?" Kingston asked. " Not sure sir but probably the office." came the standard reply.

Following suit Terry walked to where he presumed a stations Engineering office would be.

Jessica was working on her reports when she noticed another presence in her office and pointed to the piles of report „You can put…“ then looked up to face the officer butt then notice the four pipes on the collor and immediately got up for her chair ahm „Captain what brings you to my office“ Jessica said by almost turning red by being embarrassed and ashamed of what just happened.

" As you were Commander. I am Captain Terry Kingston Chief Engineering Officer Starfleet Command. I came to tour your station. Don't you have time to give me a tour?" Kingston asked.

„I am full to the brim with these Report, only if you insist. Sir. I see if i can spare some time for you“ Jessica replied.

„ Of course, Sir. Is there some in particular you would like to see on the station or would you like to start here. Which would be a good place to start.~she noted with smile~ This is my home“ she responded to Cap. Kingston

" Your home? Commander on my way in I saw a box of self sealing stem bolts just laying around. Two crewman were laughing it up while maintaining a sequencer and you...will spare me some time for an official inspection? If this is how Commodore Sureths chief engineer runs a department perhaps I need to send a report to the Fleet." Captain Kingston replied.

„In due respect, Sir. I am running my department as see fit and it runs like a well oiled machine and yes this is my home, the station and main engineering. I can see that you have clearly a problem of how I run things, be my guest and report it, I wont leave. We have gone through worse. The team respects me and they follow orders by the T. The Jobs get done and if they laugh while they are doing there duty so be it. Better a happy team then a depressed one.“ Jessica said defending herself

Captain Kingston listened to the Commanders reply and paused before replying. While the engine room was not to his liking it was to O'Neil and thusly Commodore Sureths.

" We can forgo the inspection. My deployment here is to get the Quantum Slip Stream operations up and running on this station. My rig is being built off station so we won't be needing to bother your precious time Lieutenant Commander O'Neil. As you were." Kingston replied as he prepared to exit the reactor room.

„As you were, Captain. I hope we meet again and get to know us in better terms“ Jessica said letting him exit engineering. She would have loved to over see the construction of the Slip Stream but didn’t want to be to close to Cap. Kingston as he wasn’t so fond of her commanding style.
