Crestacia part 1

A long time ago a planet was forced out of its orbit when the sun exploded forming the Nebula of today. In sending the journey pushed it to edge of that Nebula when as temporal science goes availed it to prosper. Life forms began and raised a host of prehistoric life that has thrived to this date.

The most sentient life is a race of raptor creatures that survive in packs and hunt in teams of 2 or 3. Mostly 3 . Consisting of a older male and female and usually a older child. However there are instances of siblings hunting together.

Until two days ago no non Crestacian has ever been to the planet but now a crashed ship containing 2 male humans , a female El Aurian and a cat have changed that.

The downed craft cooled off and allowed Blaine Rich to enter the cock pit. Static filled the radio but there was a brief moment when he made contact.

< WACAMAW >

Lt Salem immediately answered the signal and explained to the voice who they were and that they would look for them the moment they landed. He then reported to Croesus.

< On the Planet >

2 Mardroid sentries quickly began their search for humanoid life. As they were designed to do so stealthy their cloaking devices were engaged. But even that did not stop the raptored creatures all around them.

" Commander one of the Mardroids has been spotted and surrounded by an aggressive pack of...carnivorous creatures." Salem reported.

" Inform it to pause its mission. No aggressive action at this time. Maintain cloak and await orders. Doctor you're with me we are beaming down to the surface." Croesus ordered.

Grabbing his Med bag "Right behind you" Johnson replied finally being able to feel some real dirt under his feet.

Beaming down was rare aboard a Runabout but Croesus didn't not want to lose the advantage of surprise. On the surface Croesus quickly locked onto Metadroid 1 and headed its way.

" This is something else. A prehistoric moment.," Croesus said pointing to some flying bird lile creatures.

Johnson looked up into the sky "Well that's not good; hope they're not hungry I don't relish being a snack" he replied thinking leaving the Station maybe wasn't such a good idea after all.

A click in Croesus paused as he spotted the Mardroid up ahead engaging in a bit of a battle with a creature twice its size.

" Sergeant Mardroid ...stun the animal so we can pass." Croesus ordered. Followed by a green burst of energy that causes the beast to drop..

" Doctor I see the crashed ship up ahead. Scan for life forms." Croesus ordered.

Grabbing his tri-corder James began the scans "There appears to be two males and one female humanoids up ahead" he informed Croesus.

" Sounds like the manifest on the El Dorado. " Croesus replied. Taking the point he headed that way.

" Ahoy there?" yelled the voice of Blaine Rich who saw the two humanoids approaching.

" Ahoy back..I am Lieutenant Commander Croesus from Starfleet. " he greeted.
" Bless the stars. We're saved. Hobus jump down and greet these good people."

The Mardroid walked to the bottom of their tree and allowed the older man some where to land as well as the other two.

Looking at the survivors they didn't seem to be any worse for wear "Hi, is anyone been hurt and needing medical attention" James inquired as he grabbed his Med Kit off his shoulder.

" My witts are we injured." the one called Duchess said as she jumped down onto the Mardroid.

" Over look her sir. She has never been camping before. Are you from.a starship?"

" We are actually from a starbase. Exploring this uncharted planet. I look forward to learning how you came to be here?" Croesus asked.

" Because the pirate here tried to smuggle part of a star on a ship not vapable of holding it in stasis. " Duchess answered.

" No smuggling just a damaged stasis device that caused a large hole to form in the hull. We managed to cripple by and found this Crestacian world." Rich added.

" Crestacian huh, I guess it is as good a name as any. Doctor beam these folks up and join them. I'll come up next." Croesus then directed.

"As you wish Commander" then he paused before tapping his Comm "Sir just be careful you don't know what you may run into here" the Lieutenant stated "Wacamaw, four to return to the runabout" as the group exited the planet in a beam of light.

Croesus and the Mardroid remained behind and surveyed the ship. Tricorder readings were collected and sent up to the Wacamaw.

Ironically Mardroid 2 aka Corporal limped its way and joined Sergeant Mardroid 1. It's videos and report no doubt would be compelling.

< WACAMAW >

Nic Covenant and Lt Salem received the incoming on the transporter. Blaine Rich, Hogus and the one they called Duchess along with Dr John.

" What's it like down there?" Nic asked.

" Kid its like a movie and a night mare rolled into one." Blaine replied.

John placed his Bag on the floor beside his seat then sat letting out a quiet long sigh thinking "Maybe be stuck on a Star Base isn't so bad after all; at least you don't have to worry about getting eaton by something."

Hogus took his satchel and quickly stuffed it under his seat and relaxed. While Duchess walked over to Ellie, the only female she saw.

" Bless me someone so young and so beautiful. What is your role here?" Duchess asked.

“My role? Ohh I’m an Archaeologist and Anthropologist” Ellie smiled warmly. “I study current and ancient societies, learn about people and their ways.”

[ Croesus to Lt Kees-Odak. Are you up for a landing party? There is soo much stuff to scan here I am getting tired.]
