Stellar Problems

Kehlani and Lasso walked the Promenade, having just left the IKS Foes bane, and both needing something to eat other than what was in the ship's galley. It was Klingon, and good, but nothing like one could get at a restaurant. Well, except most Klingon dishes were raw, or barely browned on either side. "So, Lasso, where do you wish to eat? We could head over to gaH, perhaps?"
"No thanks," said Gavin. "I've had enough gaH. So much so I think I might become a bloodworm. I'm thinking about something from Earth culture. Something full of flavor other than blood." He gave a chuckle. "No offense, Kehlani, but after a while a boy needs something different, tasty."
Kehlani gave a pseudo-pout. "I don't know whether to be insulted or, entertained." She laughed. "Heard from Kehzza?"
"Not yet, but I'm sure it won't be long. She does work in your engine room, HoD, and everything has to be locked down before she can leave." He gave her a sideways look, seeing the playfulness in her blue eyes.
"Oh, well. I guess I'll have to entertain her parmaq until she can meet us." She then looked at him with curiosity. "Well, where do we eat? I'm hungry and I need to go see Higan soon. I'm sure he misses his mother."
"No child misses their mother that much," he chuckled. But, she was right. Lasso thought about it for a few moments. "I want a cheeseburger and fries, with all the trimmings. Sounds damn yummy. You in?"
"Does a targ shit in the woods?" Kehlani asked with a smile. "It has been a while since I had one of those. Where to?"
"Club Bliss has a decent burger, and we'll have some tunes in the background. That, and Kehzza knows where it is and can get there in good time. Shall we?"
"Please," said Kehlani, motioning for him to start walking and then got in beside him. "You should be glad that Klingons don't get jealous very often. Once the declaration of mate is made, there is little need to worry. All Klingons spend time together, gender not withstanding. If a female is foolish enough to try and bait another's parmaq she better be ready for a whole lot of pain. Thankfully, all I need is back home on Kor'Kang."
"All I need is just running late," Lasso smirked. "Not that I would expect you to dishonor the Patriarch with such an action towards me. He would kill me and strip you of all you have. A lose-lose, Kehlani."
"True. I might even miss you." She teased, smiling big.
"Gee, thanks." They both laughed as they entered Bliss and found a pair of bar stools next to each other. They ordered their food and acquired some beverages. Kehlani went with Black Ale, whereas Lasso chose Aldeberan whiskey. Leaning back they relaxed and chatted as they waited for their food.
