Numerous casualties from the explosions were now coming in and Security Investigator 2nd Lieutenant John Dallas had the dubious task of making the calls.

The most recent was General Thirmon the JAG officer had been found dead at his desk as the ceiling had come down hard on him

John and two staff moved the remains and secured it inside the standard body bag.

Thirmon had a deceased son and wife but still his remains deserved a proper burial.

John hailed the Commodore and told him whom he had found and prepared his Valkyrie to deliver the General's remains to the realm of space. John would actually push his craft further and found a solar wind that was sure to take the torpedo casket into the event horizon of the large black hole.

Upon return at the Kingston platform Commodore Sureth met his son in law at the mooring point.

" Thank you John. The General deserved a proper send off but unfortunately this will have to suffice." Sureth commented.

" Just doing my job sir." John replied.

" You are a good officer and son in law." Sureth added.

John felt honored and also glad to be back on duty.
