Location: Aurelian Moon/ Starbase M-69
Timeline: Concurrent

Both Croesus and Isabella Veran-Dallas waited in the transporter room for Commander Wallace to arrive. Their mission to explore this strange new moon that some how decided to rest above the planet Aurelia.

" Congratulations on the birth of your child Counselor." Croesus short talked.

“Thank you Commander” Isabelle smiled warmly. “It feels odd being here without either of my children.”

Croesus looked odd at Isabella but then smirked.
" When you are a Star Fleet Brat I guess its normal. This moon thing sure is odd. We hardly know anything about Aurelia and now we have a moon to investigate. " Croesus replied.

“I know, it’s very odd indeed.” Isabelle nodded. “I just hope there isn’t anything down there that we’ll need to worry about.”

" Reports say is is Class M and just like Crestacia. Lots of reptiles." Croesus snickered.

“Oh joy reptiles!” Isabelle grinned a wry grin. “I’ll try avoiding the snakes.”

" These snakes walk on two legs and hunt in packs if they are like the ones from the report. What is keeping Commander Wallace?"
Croesus replied.

"The joy of being the captain on this mission, trace background radiation levels are well within the safe zone, there's also residual Hawking radiation levels that have no explanation..." David paused "The beam in point is fairly isolated so we should be okay, I made a stop by the armoury and grabbed a shotgun, certain reptile species have scales that can dissipate energy weapons of most kinds."

“Great a reptilian species that walks” Isabelle grinned. “Reminds me of the Gorn.”

Awaiting for Commander Wallace or a call from the Calypso Croesus and Isabella continued their conversation.

"Who are we waiting on?" David said.

" We were waiting on you Commander. I am representing the science division. It has been years since I was a science officer " Croesus replied.

Stepping onto the transporter platform, "Then lets go" David said .

Croesus paused as he acclimated to the new transporter effects from the Starbase M-69 upgraded system.

" That was the fastest transport i've ever been on."

“Likewise” Isabelle nodded as she too got acclimatised to the rapid transport.

Seeing his station Croesus made for the science console.
" This brings back some old memories." Croesus said as he brought up the new moons schematics.

David sat down in the middle chair a crewman taking his belongings "Overlay readouts, add in astrometric feed from the station Ensign Chen, Mrs Veran-Dallas can you take ops two, I could use a second set of eyes on those readouts."

“Of course Sir” Isabelle smiled as she headed over to Ops 2 and took a seat. “Been a while since I did Ops but it’s coming back to me.”

" Science Report moon measuring 4,239 kms and contains a class M envelope. Multiple life forms " Croesus reported.

"Signs of civilization....current or historical?" David said.

" Both. There is also several energy signatures down there." Croesus added.

David looked at the main display "What level of development are we looking at?"

Croesus transferred his sensor screen to the big screen which revealed a clear dome and some sort of lights blinking inside the sealed area. One the outside prehistoric beasts walked around it but an energy barrier prevented their entrance.

" There are 6 of these on this moon." Croesus reported.

"I guess the first question is are they observation posts or survival shelters?" David said not certain if her should speculate.

" This would be a good thing to check out on foot. I volunteer to go down." Croesus replied.

David smiled wickedly "Armory prepare to equip an away mission of four...." he said waiting for an objection or three.

“Captain” Isabelle smiled. “Do I need to remind you that your place is on the bridge?”

" Oh boy." Croesus whispered under breath. The Counselor and Commodores daughter had spoken.

“What?” Isabelle grinned as she looked around. “Someone had to say it.”

"Armory...." David said "Make that four..." he paused "The first officer will be joining us."

In the background someone said =^= "Called it!"=^=

Croesus was game for what ever was down there as everyday was a good day to die for even a half Klingon.

Isabelle grinned. “At least I can say I mentioned it if anyone asks”

As David walked to the turbo lift just aft of the Station Isabelle was sitting at, he spoke "Cluck cluck number one....Cluck cluck." turning facing the bridge "Shall we?"

Isabelle grinned and stood to leave. “We shall indeed Sir.”
