For about a week, Yui Kudo and Griffon Resch had been hanging out together. They would dine together for a couple meals a day, take long walks on the multiple levels of the Promenade, and go into shops and make quirky comments to each other over the various wares to be sold. Lighthearted companionship, but with each passing day their bond grew closer, stronger, with neither one of them acting upon it nor speaking of it to the other. They just continued as they were, a bit of intimate and sexual tension between them, but both being far too polite to assume that the other felt the same way.
For Griffon's part, it was not only about not upsetting Yui, but also her father, Ken Kudo. Ken had just been promoted to the newest XO in Starfleet aboard the USS Diligent, whenever the ship finally arrived from its delivery run. So, he had to carefully consider any type of romantic pursuit of Yui. Yes, she was now a Quazi, which he hoped would be further explained as he and Yui grew closer, but that was what made her even more adorable and attractive in his eyes. According to her she had chosen to become Quazi, but the genetics from her parents was deep-seated within her, never to diminish she had said. The Q known as Qeritas, the one with a fascination for humanity, had told her as much. Also, according to Yui, the government known as the Quazi Concordium had been aided in its establishment by the Q Continuum itself, allowing the Catfolk free will even as they watched over them as they evolved into the civilization they were today. Sitting here now, in front of Yui at a four-person table with their chairs next to and facing each other, this all went through Griffon's mind even as his eyes looked to be giving her a blank stair as they sipped their hot red leaf tea.
"If you're going to stare at me, I'm going to stare right back," said Yui, a flirtatious mirth behind her eyes.
Resch brought his eyes back into focus, returning a grin. "Go ahead. I know it's hard to not stare at all this masculine sexiness." His grin became a smile full of the same flirty mirth as her own.
That got Yui truly laughing in that lilting, flute-like voice of hers, giving Griffon an opening to study his lovely catgirl in earnest. Framed by twin locks of raven black hair, Yui's face was soft and rounded, her chin a gentle point beneath her lips, her eyes bearing a vertical slit instead of rounded pupils, surrounded by a hazel iris that shimmers like gems. In place of human ears were two feline ears that sit atop her head, each one easily the size of the palms of his hands. As he watches they wiggle, twitch, and swivel with a life of their own, refusing to fall in line with Yui's calm demeanour. Each of their insides are a clean white to contrast with her raven black outsides, and filled with large, fluffy and ever-so-sensitive tufts of fur; it's very, very hard to not want to reach out and start petting them.
From there on, Yui's raven black hair fans outward, spilling across her shoulders and further down until it reaches the middle of her back — by the looks of it, there are no bad hair days in Yui's life, or bad fur days for that matter. Each strand of Yui's hair and fur is exquisite, silken and rich in color, the result of careful brushing and lots of care. Faced with this sight, Griffon could see why Catfolk think themselves some of the prettiest creatures that ever existed. He would not be surprised if there was some Eldritch magick involved, but Yui would probably never admit to such.
Slowly, Griffon moves his eyes downward, and Yui simply smiles and sips at her tea.
She's dressed in what appears to be a long-sleeved three-piece robe-like outfit in the fashion of her Japanese ancestry on her father's side — a yukata, he thinks it is called, although he cannot quite remember exactly where she has mentioned its name before. White and trimmed at the edges with red, a deep blood-red sash tied just beneath her breasts secures the entire ensemble, tied in the back with an elaborate bow. Her clothes are fairly form-fitting, but there's no doubt that the catgirl has plenty of freedom to move around if need be.
Yui's lady lumps are slight, dainty B-cups hidden almost completely by the folds of her clothing. Yes, they would fill the average person's palms but one had to admit they were very suited to her fine, streamlined figure. Small and unassuming — not quite everyone's cup of tea perhaps, but there was a certain cute charm to them.
Ah, such delights. Sweeping his gaze further down, Griffon starts from her bottom up. While Yui usually removes her sandals while coming indoors, she does not take off her white stockings, which is usually all he can see under her long skirts. Behind her, a black-furred, lengthy tail sways, covered in a thick, downy fur the same black color as her hair and fur. It almost seems to have a life of its own, twitching, curling and sweeping about even when Yui's attention is clearly elsewhere. Resch remembered what Yui said about Catfolk tails: the longer the tail on a Quazi, the more powerful he or she is, with the most powerful in both position and metaphysics having tails equal in length to the standing height of the Catfolk. Hmm...
Down the length of her tail to its base, and then up to her hips. Yui's rear is tighter and daintier than what might be thought common among humanoids, but she assured Griffon that she is perfectly average by the standards of her people. While the catfolk's clothes hide most of her figure, Griffon is content to take her word for it — there is a certain charm to her as she is, after all.
While her slight, streamlined build and boyish hips suggest that a stiff breeze might be able to knock her over, Resch knows that Yui is made of sterner stuff than that. It's just...oh well. Maybe the local ladies of M-69 have left him spoiled for choice.
Finally, Resch moves on to Yui's midriff, just under her sash. The catfolk's slender torso belies her feline grace, softly feminine as it curves in from her chest and outwards as it approaches her hips. Accentuated by her sash, just looking at her trim body gives Griffon an impression of dainty yet lithe alacrity; while Yui usually gets about in deliberate, measured movements, there is no doubt that she could rapidly pick up her pace if the situation called for it.
Resch's examination of the catgirl complete, he sets down his tea and gives Yui a satisfied nod. In return, she dips her head ever so slightly at him, ears twitching, and gives him a small grin.
"If we're done admiring each other, let's move on." Yui says.
"Gladly." Resch replies "Although I might want to ask, Yui — exactly what's it about me that you are admiring?"
Yui smirks and shakes her head. "Wouldn't be fun if I just up and told you, would it? I'll leave that one for you to figure out on your own." She then stood up after finishing the tea in her cup and setting it back on the saucer with practiced perfection. "However, I have places I need to be." She stood, noting Resch standing as she does as any true gentleman would. "I need to change into something more utilitarian. Thank you for our time together." She gave him a bow with hands laced over her abdomen before they separated and she stepped in to kiss his right cheek as her fingers gently caressed the left. "This was lovely, and relaxing. I look forward to our next meeting." With that said, Yui went around him and left the small restaurant, heading to wherever it was she needed to be.
Griffon, not able to help it, watched her back as she left, still looking until she was out of sight out on the Promenade. ~Yes~ he thought to himself. ~It's time to speak to Ken~
With that thought in mind, Griffon Resch left the restaurant and headed for his temporary quarters.
