So much for that...

Mission:
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT 09/26
Location: Intel Office
Timeline: ==20 minutes after "New orders"==
On:
David stepped on to the station from the Cascade's docking slip, he'd been notified of a code Seven Five Two alert, not the most extreme alert in terms of what a Seven series codes mean, most of them something has happened, in the case of this code it meant a ship had missed it's check in through an uncontrolled corridor of space, David thought only briefly on where, the Neberite Corridor, but considering the distance from the station this had to have more meaning too it. David didn't skip a stride as he walked he tapped his commbadge "Commander Veran-Dallas can you meet me at the intel offices' we might have a mission." David said
Isabelle had just finished feeding her young daughter as the call came through. Fortunately John was home so she gave him a kiss and a hug before hitting her comm badge. “On my way Commander.”
A few minutes later she arrived at the Intel offices, walking in she offered a smile to those present as she looked for David.
Standing next too the work station David waved Isabelle over and then spoke, "USS Roswell missed another check in while in the Neberite corridor," he paused "The closest ship is The Cascade."
Isabelle nodded. “Okay, what mission is the Roswell currently on?”
The ensign at the computer spoke, "Routine hazard check in the corridor, debris, wrecks, indications of piracy, and so on."
Isabelle nodded. “Thank you.” She looked towards David. “I’m guessing they found more than they bargained for.”
"No clue, considering what powers straddle the corridor, Gorn, Kzinti, Lyran, Hydran and Klingons, it's a bit of a powder keg, no one has ever gained control of the corridor, and over the last two centuries it's become an unofficial neutral zone especially with the Neberite alliance depending on it for trade and other accesses." David said "Back in twenty one thirty the Gorn tried to seize a section that is mostly along the Klingon border only to be violently beaten back, the oddity in this story is the Klingons never claimed the space they fought over, The Hydran's and Lyran fought over a small piece of the corridor sometime before the four years war as well that ended in a stalemate, since then the corridor has remained relatively quiet."
Isabelle nodded. “So unless one of them has decided to finally step up we could be facing either someone new, or something else has occurred. Hopefully it’s just a problem with the ship that’s preventing them from calling in.”
David looked over to the back work area "Melissa!" he called out a brunette in her early twenties walked over, "Do we have the mission details for the Roswell"
"Yes sir, it was just a routine survey of the corridor, hazards, and so on, their mission route didn't take them near anything known to be dangerous." she said quoting from the pad she had in her hands.
"So to the loaded question..." David started "Do we talk to the CO?"
Isabelle nodded. “I think so, if they’ve not reported in there’s definitely something wrong. We can’t leave them out there.”
David looked to Melissa, "Alert the Cascade to prepare, then send a message to Outpost three three seven and see if they can lend a hand." he paused "Number one, I'm going to talk with the Commodore."
Isabelle nodded. “Understood, I have one thing I need to do and I’ll be right back onboard ready to go.” She had to say goodbye to her family yet again. As much as she wanted to take them with she wasn’t sure what they were going to be facing.
After Isabelle left he looked to Melissa, "Let the Admiral know what's going on."
"Yes Sir." Melissa said as she watched he boss exit
