Post 25 " Broken Bow"

Daimon Shep patiently awaited the arrival of engineers and medical from the Nova 2. His ship had received phaser fire and sustained damages and several crew had minor plasma burns. But it was the arrival of the clothed female hu-mon that peaked his lobes.
Shamarra walked into the transporter room "Do you have the coordinates of the bridge of the Ferengi ship"
"I do lieutenant."
Stepping onto the transporter pad "Energize," Shamarra ordered. In seconds she was standing on the bridge of the Ferengi ship
FERENGI SHIP
The two security guards ducked as the craft was smaller than the Nova 2.
" I would offer beverages but we were robbed blind. Replicator parts and my cargo by those pirates." Shep stated.
"Are you referring to t he same pirates who raided and destroyed things on the Mercury or were you hit by other pirates?" Shamarra asked "It it's the ones who raided the Mercury they're by now long gone. How can I be of assistance?"
" If your engineers can fix my ship I can pay for their time. As for you personally...I have a bottle of a terran beverage would you care to share it with me? It is called soda pop. I bought it from a Saudi Prince on Earth.
"Soda pop? I've never had any," Shamarra commented "I'm sure our engineers can fix your ship. So this soda pop what is it?"
" The ingredients label was rubbed off but it is very...bubbly. Lots of fizz. Science huh? Have you found any anomalies that peek your attention Lieutenant. By the crispness of your uniform you must be new to the inner quadrant." Shep replied.
Shamarra nodded "I've only been on the Mercury a short time, as for finding anything I've not had the chance to do much. Then we were hit with pirates." she was not sure about this soda pop and if she even wanted to try it.
" Reluctance ? My lobes never fail me. Well once but that is a story for another day." Shep replied.
A few minutes of silence passed but then a shudder of the ship rallied Bob Covenant to hail Poole.
[Lieutenant prepare for immediate beam out the ship is going to blow.]
" Noooo my ship!" Shep cried aloud.
Shamarra tapped her com-badge "Lock onto everyone on this ship and beam us directly to the Nova, get the shields up once everyone is there. Beam us all to cargo bay one, do it NOW!" she ordered
NOVA2
Bob then called Engineering.
" Chief do not beam over . Thst Ferengi ships core is overloading" Covenant warned Lt Commander Ejo.
“I was about to head out with my team. Thank you Lieutenant for warning.” Nora replied back through the comm.
Nora then told her team that the core of Ferengi was about to blow. Due to her knowledge about the force of such an explosion she and her team went to work on boosting the the hull integrity and the shields capacity to 120%. Nora then tapped her badge “Lt. Covenant I went ahead boosted our hull integrity and shield capacity to 120%. This should give us a little advantage in escaping the explosion.” Nora said.
It took only a matter of seconds to get everyone beamed from the Ferengi ship onto the Nova2, Shamarra looked at the security "Do not let your guard down, I want them under guard, we know the Ferengi are always looking for a profit. Any injured are to be site to site transported and kept under guard. Any questions contact myself or Commander Nora. I'll be on the bridge." With that Shamarra bolted for the bridge knowing the destruction of the Ferengi ship would happen at any minute,
Shep was sad the Lieutenant had gone but alas she was. Medics arrived and hustled him and others to sickbay.
BRIDGE
LT Covenant beamed the last if the crew over and then Nova 2 quickly left the system.
" Commander do I take us back to the Mercury?"
“There’s nowhere else to go Lieutenant” Shauna nodded. “We’ll have to see what the Captain wants to do with our guests when we get there.”
Shamarra stepped onto the bridge and took a seat next to Shauna "Commander I suggest we put as much distance between us and that ship as possible. That ship is going to blow at an minute."
“You heard the Lieutenant Mr Covenant, get us clear of that ship!” Shauna looked at Shamarra. “What happened to the repairs on that ship? We were supposed to be helping not making it worse.”
"Apparently the damage was worse than expected," Shamarra said "Repairs had barely started when the call came in that the ship was going to blow."
Shauna nodded. “Fair enough, we did all we could then. Let’s go home.”
Helm pushed the throttle and soon Nova 2 was heading back to Starbase Mercury. While on the far side of the moon the hidden freighter they had not found planned its exodus.
“Keep a watch on sensors for any movement back there” Shauna sighed. “We’re leaving the door wide open for any other ships to escape, but we need to get the Ferengi off ship.”
" Yes ma'am" Lt Covenant replied

ENGINEERING
Nora had given Ens. Pack the order to watch over Main Engineering while she head for the bridge. She wanted to know if she be of any help there.
BRIDGE
Moments later the doors to the bridge opened and Nora entered.
Shauna looked up offering a polite smile, it wasn’t unusual for Engineering personnel to be on the bridge.
“Commander may I join you here? I thought I could of be of help being with on the bridge. ” She asked.
“By all means Commander, please take over the Engineering station.”
In the corner of Nora’s eyes she spotted Shamarra. She hadn’t introduced herself yet to her but were planning to do so. Once back on the station.
Shamarra was watching the sensors for the Ferengi ship, Not liking what she was seeing turned to Shauna "Commander we need to get away from that ship now and head for the base as fast as we can. It's going to explode in thirty seconds."
SICKBAY
Dr Ito and his teams attended to the Ferengi crew but Shep did not require any help.
Standing back Shep opened up a wrapper and began chewing the gum like sugar and smiled.
