Jyeth the accused was now more awake and able to be interrogated. Hiri would be there to monitor but she called Commander Taavis to come and do her interrogation of the alien being.

" You are unlike the felines below. You are intelligent Hiri. Let me out of here." Jyeth tried to woo. Still in native form Jyeth did try to shape into a masculine feline but was still too weak.

" Where is the child?" Hiri demanded.

" Fulfillment of a higher calling. The child will become a god " Jyeth replied

John Dallas arrived and listened in followed by Captain Sureth.

" Has she gotten anywhere?" Sureth asked Dallas.

" Not as I can tell sir." replied Dallas.

" I am of a mind to mind meld with the creature." Sureth then said.

" Probably not a good idea. Sir you are too close to this it knows that."

" You are correct but I feel..helpless. I have to go to Savai keep me apprised Mister Dallas. Oh by the way I am promoting you to Warrant Officer. Field commission." Sureth added

" I am speechless, Thank you sir." Dallas replied.

" You deserve it Mister Dallas. " Sureth replied as he exited brig.

“Did I catch you at an auspicious moment?” Isabelle walked across to the two men in herblife as she approached the brig.

Sureth was late but paused. " Dallas is a good officer and earned his promotion. Isabella why are you here?" Sureth asked.

"I..." She paused. "I wanted to talk to Jyeth, about my son. He might have the answers I seek."

" He or it is playing games. I do not trust this creature." Sureth replied.

Dallas heard their words and joined them.

" Sir I will be there too."

Sureth hugged Isabella and then exited

“Thank you John” Isabelle smiled warmly. “You didn’t have to do that, but I’m glad you did.” She motioned towards the brig. “Let’s go.” Heading into the brig Isabelle walked up to the cell where Jyeth was being held. “Where is my son?”

Jyeth smiled and again assumed a humanoid shape of sorts. It need to physically join to look perfect

" My beloved...you came back for me." Jueth jived.

" So did I thing. I brought a phaser want to try it?" Dallas added.

Isabelle sighed. “I’m not your beloved anymore, I may not be entirely what I was either so I suggest you tell me where my son is! I want him back!!

Jyeth frowned. "I am afraid the child's destiny resides with Heldon and the Corjii. I was only the courier all but the you part . I actually was drawn to you. Now it looks like I am to die."

“To die? Why?” Isabelle looked at Jyeth curiously. “If you answer our questions with complete honesty I’ll talk to my...the Captain, arrange for you to go back to...wherever you come from.”

" My services are no longer needed. My fate is sealed. You beloved there has hate in his heart and plans to kill me. So does the feline doctor." Jyeth answered.

Isabelle shook her head. “No one will kill you, unless you give them cause to.” She couldn’t help but feel an attachment. “Jyeth...what am I? I’m no longer like you, but I’m also not who I was. What have you made me?”

Jyeth leaned up against the energy field. "Immortal now my love."

Isabelle lowered her voice. “Immortal? Are you saying that...I can’t...be killed?”

" If you continue to feast no." Jyeth replied.

Hiri piped up. " You are on a reversal diet Isabella. You will not need to kill in order to live."

Isabelle backed away from the cell. “I have no intention of feeding on anyone Jyeth! I’m not a monster...not anymore!” She moved to stand alongside Dallas. “I almost killed this man after what you did to me.”

" It is called existance. Stars explode and are reborn here just as beings are. You child was the star the Corjii needed to rebuild their empire. He is now a god. " Jyeth confessed.

" That is all it keeps saying. Riddles." Hiri added.

" Only a pure being can enter the celestial sphere." Jyeth added.

“My baby was pure, a newborn is pure.” Isabelle nodded and hung her head. “I’ll never see him again will I?”

Dallas hugged Isabella. " We will get your son back Isabella. Don't lose hope."

Isabelle nodded. “Thank you John” she smiled warmly.

Hiri left the area leaving only Dallas and Isabella in the room. John planned to interrogate but was soon foiled when the being absorbed the energy field, knocking Dallas to the floor.

Dallas rebound and fired his phaser at Jyeth wounding him but Jyeth again knock the weapon away and pounced on Dallas.

Blow after blow to Dallas proved too much as Jyeths faked weaken condition was revealed.

He then turned to face Isabella

" Come and dine."

Isabelle shook her head. “No...I won’t hurt him!!” She looked around seeing a phaser lying strewn across the floor she went for it aiming to reach it to use on Jyeth.

Jyeth stood erect and morphed into John Dallas doppleganger. "Isabella you could never harm me."

Isabelle paused, she could still feel Jyeth but she had no idea if he’d swapped places with John. She didn’t want to end up shooting the wrong man. “I...” She looked between the two John’s, there was only one way to truly know. “You want me to be yours Jyeth?” She tantalisingly pulled her hair and clothing from her neck. “Come and take me!”

Drool dropped from Jyeths lip as he pursued her. But seeing an escape to the right he ran that way instead.

Checking on Dallas, Isabelle quickly followed after Jyeth a decision she soon came to regret as in it’s need to escape Jyeth ambushed both her and Dallas with deadly intent. Even though she was badly wounded she had no choice but to launch her own attack, Jyeth’s earlier words about feeding to stay alive rang in her ears. Bringing down Jyeth she fed until she’d taken all she needed, killing Jyeth in the process.

Wiping her mouth she crawled across to John. “John? Can you hear me!!” She had little choice as she offered up her neck. “I bit you before...the need is inside you...feed on me! It’ll save you!!”

Dallas was weak but even he felt the need to succulent.

Hiri quickly found them and neuralized both Isabella and John in stasis. Rushing them quickly to sickbay via transporter. Two beds side by side was their resting area as vital fluids were quickly given to both of them.

Jyeths body was quickly taken to the morgue for examination.
