OOC : Mirana the Slave/ Dragon Princess

The white light slowly faded around all of them and was replaced by a night sky. Looking up the domed floating city hovered over head.

" Oh good everyone made it. Just a few ground rules to cover. Under the Temporal Accords no mention of time travel, interaction or changing the out comes of life or death." ARDOO stated. " Captain Callaghan and Loth please stay close. Oh, you will need appropriate attire. 2000 years ago no dragons were on this planet. Only humanoids and pixies and of course Overwatch. "

Suddenly in a pixeling Loth was transformed to look humanoid and Shauna was dressed in a flowing emerald gown.

" What is this? I smell awful." Loft yelled.

" In order for you to understand you have to be what you are not. HADAH is about to act upon this world and you can have a front role seat Loft." Ardoo replied

O'Connell snickered to himself at Loft's reaction to being humanoid when he noticed he also had on different attire. Instead of his captain's uniform he was now dressed in leather from head to toe; he looked more like a man from Medieval Earth and not someone in Star Fleet. Glancing over to his right he saw Shauna dressed in a beautiful flowing gown; she looked rather fetching to say the least.

" A Cavalier, Excellent. Captain O'Connell there events about to occur are to help both Loft and Shauna understand why things evolve as it has. I brought us back early enough to view. Do you have any questions?" Ardoo asked.

Jamie thought for a moment "Not really" he replied then continued "I want to observe to gain a better understanding of the Assul's culture and possibly be able to aid Captain Callaghan if I can."

" Of course. It is good you two are together for this." Ardoo replied.

The beautiful sky became dark very quickly as showers of fire and meteors expelled on the planets surface. One hitting the floating city exploding it into numerous pieces. Humanoids running for their lives, each dressed as Shauna and Jamie were. Ardoo looked to Shauna and Jamie to see their reactions.

Shauna was wondering just why she was dressed in such a flowing gown, before her attention turned to the two humanoids running for their lives. “What’s going on?”

Seeing the fire dropping from the sky, something akin to Dante's Inferno, O'Connell's natural instant was to duck when he realized they were not being effected as, for the lack of a better word, a time traveller "Ardoo what in the bloody hell is happening" he inquired seeing the damaged caused.

" This is when HADAH cast out the Dragon Queen from the Realm. We are in danger and need to get to the floating ship." Ardoo said but then watched as a giant meteor exploded over the ship and vaporised it right before their eyes.

" Oh this is not good." Ardoo said with shock. " That did not happen in the original time line. Something has altered the time line."

Captain O'Connell didn't like the sound of that possibility "So you mean we're stuck here in this timeline Ardoo" he inquired with concern in his voice.

Ardoo stayed silent as more smaller meteors landed near them. Loft ran to him..." Wake up you idiot save our lives."

“We have to find cover!” Shauna looked around motioning the safest way she could see to go. “This way...”

All followed leaving Ardoo last as he appeared to be in shock.

" I smell sulfur. Those are not mere asteroids they are...Assul eggs." Loft declared as he examined one of the hot fallen rocks.

A wind filled the forest and they all could see as the eggs began to open up, hatching out little Dragon like bioped young lings.

Ardoo then came back to himself.
" The ship did not exploded it merely teleported away. My bad, sorry guys and lady. This was the fall from the Realm. When the Dragon Queen was cast out."

Sulfer filled the air as the trees blazed around them followed by the sinkual sounds of dragon groans.

" That smells horrid what is it?" Loft asked.

" The smell of the Assul." Ardoo answered.

“Maybe some more background would be good rather than just throwing us in the deep end” Shauna paused giving Ardoo a curious look. “What happens from here?”

" These eggs belong to the Dragon Queen. She introduced the dragons into the Realm. Hadah the Deity forbid it and cast her and the dragons from grace. When she was encased in the purgatory the Assul expanded and created an Empire in this system. Only their leader , the Dragon Queen , can control them." Ardoo explained.

Then Loft spoke.
" I ordered for the Princess to save us."

“Great” Shauna looked around. “We seem to be without a Princess, and we can’t really interfere with events or it will change what has already happened.”

O'Connell stood quietly going over in his mind everyone's input into the conversation before speaking up "Ardoo you mentioned moments ago your ship teleported away so I'm assuming you can retrieve it when we're ready to leave this place" he inquired then turning to Shauna "Sadly you're right Captain Callaghan, any changes to this timeline could make things even worse in our reality."

" We had a Princess and you humans prevented us from coronating her." the humanoid Loft growled with less effect.

“I explained quite clearly why” Shauna frowned as she looked at Loft. “A queen should be free to choose her destiny, that way you wouldn’t have to go kidnapping a female every time you need a new queen.” She looked at Ardoo. “What now Ardoo?”

Ardoo smiled " We need to go find the first Dragon Queen."

Ardoo and O'Connell took the lead out of the fire and settled near a stream leading to a river. They could still smell the embers and sulfur.
" This is my first temporal trek." Ardoo explained .

"Mine as well" O'Connell commented then looked over his shoulder making sure the other's were following behind.

Loft struggled to stay up with Shauna but endeavoured to do so.
" Captain the point to my plan was to control my people urges. With a humanoid queen the dragons respond to. She has to be tough and commanding like the original queen was." Loft promised.

Shauna looked at Loft. “But you said all of your queens were from one bloodline, correct? Without another queen from that bloodline you won’t be able to stop the dragons.”

" Tests are run on all of our slaves. She matched the blood line. She is a descendant of the original queen. " Loft replied.

Up ahead Ardoo stopped as he saw a large gathering of something up ahead where a large meteor had fallen.

" It's primitives....they'll be slaughtered by the dragons." Ardoo cried.

" He is right the first Assul slaughtered and enslaved this planet. It was the first planet of the Empire. The Assul were cast out of the realm for killing. The Dragon Queen had a dragon kill one of the pixies." Loft told them.

" The Overwatch was here studying the primitives which is why our ship was above. The Dragon Queen mated with one of the native males and thus the blood line began." Ardoo added.

Part of Loft couldn't wait to watch but with his transformation to humanoid he found himself feeling sad for the carnage about to come.

" Dragons hate flowers. If we can find some and spread them around these...primitives that could save this group." Loft added. " We can not allow a slaughtering of innocents."

Captain O'Connell looked at the group "As much as we may not want to see innocents beings slaughtered" then he paused a moment "We can not interfere or the change to the timeline could be damaged forever and possibly ours with it" he explained forcefully.



Ardoo smiled as he listened to their exchange. But Loft did not understand as his transformation was just about complete. What ever Ardoo had done to him he now was a humanoid and seeing the forth coming massacre was all he could stomach.

" Do something Overwatch. " he yelled.
" I am afraid I can not. O'Connell is correct we can not change our past only learn from it." Ardoo answered.

Loft looked to Shauna.
" Take me home then. I have seen enough."

But before Ardoo replied suddenly they were seized by two humanoids.
