Station Post # 51 "Temporal Trek 3"

Three primitives led the group out of harms way as a maul of dragons poached the few native primitives. Leading them into a set of in ground digs.

Ardoo looked to the others and whispered.

" This is unusual . The primitives are not social beings."

Shauna nodded at the comment, she was finding it all quite fascinating.

Loth looked to Shauna and got closer.
" Do not be afraid. I will not let you come to harm Captain." Loth promised.

“I appreciate that Loth, thank you.” Shauna smiled warmly.

Two of the primates were male but the female seemed to be the leader

Looking in their direction the female smiled at Shauna as if she knew her. Remarkable in that she had markings up and down her body like a Trill.
Speaking her words Ardoo remarked.

" This is amazing this being is not of this planet. She is Trill. " Ardoo stated.

" You are...of Trill also? " asked the female to Shauna.

Shauna nodded surprised to see another Trill. “Yes I am, half Trill anyway.”

" I am here to prevent a war. My symbiont Is a peace keeper. We were brought here to try and prevent a war by the Overwatch. " said the Trill female.

Ardoo listened as he was not aware.

Shauna nodded. “The Overwatch brought you here?” That made her even more curious. “But What does your presence here have to do with the choice of queen?”

The Trill female was younger not older but seemingly not well but appeared to be most willing to do her job.

" We must lead these creatures away from the humanoids. "

But the two males with her were not Trill and seemed to have their own agenda.

" Ardoo why have you brought these people here?" One asked.
" To bring peace. In my time the Assul are at war with these humans. Loth there is actually Assul, I used the resequencer to make him human." Ardoo answered.

" Go home you are interfering. This girl has to lead the first Assul to victory and take control of this world."

" No she doesn't the real Dragon Queen is alive and was placed in purgatory by HADAH." Ardoo replied.

As they argued the girl approached Shauna. "I am not well. My symbiont and I are not compatible. If I die please save my symbiont. I will try to save these people but I am only one person."

“Me?” Shauna looked at the woman in surprise. “But I’m only half Trill, I don’t know if I’d make a compatible host to your symbiont. Not that I’d refuse if it was the only way.”

" I don't plan to die but in this situation one never knows. These two said it was my destiny to save these people from the dragons."

Loth joined them and added " I can lure the Assul away. You two save the humans." he said approaching Ardoo and the other two Overwatch.

" Reverse this transformation. Make me Assul again" Loth said grabbing Ardoo.

Ardoo paused but then activated his hand remote which was nothing more than a pixel generator making Loth once again the Assul Warchief.

He looked to Shauna and the old Trill woman as he ran towards the approaching horde.

Shauna looked to the others. “Let’s save these people!”

The Overwatch stood to themselves prevented by the Temporal directive from acting but not Loth as he roared and corralled some of the large dragons into a cul-de-sac gap .

The humanoids struggled to run as both Shauna and the Trill woman herded them to higher ground.

" It's working...I put the wild orchids along the path. Their stench will cover the human smell.

Minutes passed then Loth joined them.

" A few of the wilder Assul escaped. These can fly so we will have to be careful. Over the generations most Assul lose their wings.. "

Suddenly Ardoo found them and motioned for Captain O’Connell to join them.
" We have done enough. It's time to leave. When everyone is here we will return to our time."

O'Connell had learned a lot about the Assul and the way things transpired eons ago affecting their reasoning for today; but he was more than ready to leave this place and get back to his own time.

The Trill female looked to Shauna.
" Thank you for helping me save these people."

Shauna nodded. “It was my pleasure, I hope you find a future host once I’m gone.”

" I just want to go home to Trill. I do not trust these...Overwatch beings. " replied the woman

Ardoo then called out " Our portal is opened let's leave now."

Loth joined them and declared.
" I am not leaving. Our history is horrible and I mean to change it. I am going to stay behind and become the first Dragon King. I know most of our history and can guide these Assul to become a Republic instead of an empire."

" That can not be. The path has been laid. Ardoo take him with you now." yelled one of the other Overwatch.

O'Connell chimed in "Loth, he's correct....you can not interfere!! Doing so could make our timeline ten times worse" then he paused "Matter of fact you could erase yourself from existence by do so. If you hate your past so much then change the way you think and fix the future" he concluded sternly resolute in his statements.

As they argued three flying Assul creatures descended and a dark being dismounted off of one of them and walked over to the young Trill girl.
" YOU AND I WILL BECOME ONE AND RULE THESE BEAST WITH AN EMPIRE" the dark being said as she consumed the girl like a billow of smoke.

Ardoo quickly opened the portal and pushed Loth through followed by Captain O’Connell and last by Shauna.

< Overwatch Ship >

Emerging back onto the Overwatch ship the catwalk to the station was clearly visible.

" We are back in time...to your time." Ardoo tried to smile. The image of the dark force taking over the young Trill girl still fresh in their minds.

“I wish we could have saved her” Shauna sighed as she thought of the Trill girl. “How do we know it was her destiny to die like that?”

" The Dragon Queen is very much alive. The Slave girl Mirana was to be a sacrifice to her . It has always been the way of the Assul. Every 20 years a new sacrifice is prepared for the sacrifice. The sad part.is the original Dragon Queen is still in purgatory." Ardoo explained.

Loth looked to O'Connell.
" I need to speak to my government...to extend this cease fire."

"I'm sure we can go to Ops so you can contact your government; then this will be over with" then O'Connell paused "Perhaps it would be in your races best interests if you explained to them in detail what you saw back in time."

" I doubt they would believe such a story. But I will try." Loth answered.

Ardoo paused Loth and handed him something he quickly hid inside his uniform pocket.

Ardoo then looked to Shauna.

" The Dragon Queen that is being held in Purgatory is the same girl you met back then Shauna. Her name was Jamin Prax. "

“Jamin” Shauna nodded. “She’s still being held in purgatory? After all this time?”

" It is the same person. The dark force has never changed from Jamin Prax. The symbiont she carries is also still alive I believe." Ardoo replied.

The door to the station opened and three security officers rushed in.

" Captain Callaghan you are wanted at OPS by Commodore Sureth." Security informed.

“Understood” Shauna nodded. “I’ll be back Ardoo, I have to go” with that she headed for Ops.

" I'll be here I like this place." Ardoo smiled.
