Mission: NAZGUL: {CD&MISSION} Return to Basics
Location: Unre star system
Timeline: Current

ON:

Kara had worked diligently to get the computers in the chamber to allow her access to the programs and data within. It had taken many hours and as she worked she had injected herself with a stimulant to make sure she remained sharp and did not falter due to becoming tired. Not that she would with her mind racing at the implications of all this data. Once the computers were whirring away and correlating their programs for her, Kara had made a trek back to the Delta. There, she gathered transport/communications enhancers, one at a time, and took them into the tunnels, setting them up exactly where they needed to be to make sure there would be no break in signal transmission. Again, a couple hours of work.

With all that in place Kara returned to the computer consoles she had been working at, seeing that all data had been correlated. Satisfied with the result Kara then ordered the Delta's computer to upload and save all the data within its own core, with her coding it for her eyes only under the authorization of Chief Science Officer, USS Nazgul. The data transfer began so Kara turned her attention to another matter. Digging into the computer from a different angle she wanted to see if the power requirements for the stasis pod and the computer systems on the Delta would be able to handle moving the pod to that destination, without breaking the hibernation for the few minutes it would take to reconnect power at the ship. All signs indicated it was possible, as there were redundancies in the pod, with an internal battery pack, to offset any brown-outs should the facility lose power. Perfect, she thought. This would work and I can leave this cursed place.

Turning to the pod after preparing the computer for a power shutdown, Kara began to disconnect the power source. The pod fluctuated with the power loss as the batteries kicked in and everything went back to a steady thrum. Pulling out her pack of transporter tags she began to place them on everything she would need to affect the awakening of the being within the pod. Even a multi-armed droid-thing that stood close to the pod in shutdown mode. It had finite manipulators and mandibles for grasping and finite work in regards to surgery and fine tuning of systems. She had no doubts that it would be useful. With everything prepared for the move, Kara began to have the items transported to the Delta, one at a time, knowing that it would make the aft section of the Delta cramped. Once the being could be removed from the pod she could do away with it since there was a stasis pod/surgical biobed in the aft section of the ship.

Once everything had been transported, the computer telling her all was aboard and functioning properly, Kara began to leave the facility. As she went, the Voran woman closed everything behind her, each chamber in turn. She left the transporter/com enhancers in place in the event she would return here, or someone else would. She knew that Starfleet may have issues with what she had done, and what she was doing, but a trade-off could be offered. The facility and all it held in return for her claim to the being within the pod.

Getting back to the ship, Kara entered the aft ramp and closed it up. Kneeling next to the pod she ran a power conduit to the pod from the ship's power core, seeing the pod once again receiving a steady pulse of energy, and recharging the batteries. Now, for Kara, it was time to get a few hours of sleep and get her mind right for the next steps to be taken.
