A registered but very distant Enigma class cruisers slowly appeared off the bow of Starbase M-69 carry with them a passenger.

[ USS TIKAL- A REQUESTING PERMISSION TO DELIVER A CREW MEMBER]

< Permission Granted Tikal-A. Crew members information has been received.>

Moments later the shimmering appearance of a young Vulcan male officer arrived and the Tikal-A warped away.

Arriving to sickbay the Vulcan followed protocol and presented himself for a medical work up.

Doctor Williams looked up from what he was working on seeing a young Vulcan male walk into Sick Bay. Meeting the young Officer "Good day, I am Doctor Ramvek Williams, may I be of assistance" he inquired having never seen this Officer before.

" Greeting Dr Williams . I am Sovan and I am recently assigned to this station as a Counselor. Commodore Sureth is expecting me. I assume?" Sovan greeted.

“He is” Isabelle popped through the doors having been notified of Sovan’s arrival. “I’m Isabelle Veran-Dallas, Chief Counsellor I’ve been expecting you.”

Ramvek grinned "So being new here I would imagine a boarding physical would be in order" he stated knowing full well that was probably why this young officer was here.

" Obviously as regulations dictate. I was dispatched to assist a prisoner of war." Sovan replied.

Looking at Isabelle "I am sure you could use another pair of hands right about now" Ramvek commented referring to her motherly way.

“That I could” Isabelle nodded. “But Sovan is here more for John than for me, he’s the patient. Starfleet rules dictate that I can’t counsel my husband, it’s a conflict of interest.”

" I am also temporarily assigned to this station Doctor should my services be needed. " Sovan joked.

"I see; forgive me I didn't know the 2nd Lieutenant was in need for your particular services" Ramvek commented a little surprised at hearing Sovan's assignment "Then I don't think a boarding physical would be in order unless your status should change.

“I always thought a boarding medical was required when transferring positions, even temporary ones” Isabelle gave Ramvek a curious look. “As for John he’s suffering from PTSD thanks to his ordeal, as his wife I’m not permitted to be his Counsellor hence why Sovan is here.”

"Actually that is up to the discretion of the CMO when a temporary position is taken on a Base or Ship" then he paused a moment "But you are correct, so Mr. Sovan when you have the time I will do a boarding physical on you."

" I am here to serve Doctor. Completing this physical will speed along the process. I took the liberty and had my transport forward my 6 month physical as well." Sovan replied. " As for Second Lieutenant Dallas diagnoses I will evaluate that possible issue."

"Good. Have a seat on this bio-bed and we'll get started; this won't take long since you had one done six months ago and it will satisfy Star Fleet regs" Williams commented. Walking to the end of the bed Ramvek keyed in the sequence for Vulcan physiology and grabbed his scanner and went over Sovan from head to toe. Looking at the readings "As expected you are in top physical form so I can only assume you do not have any medical issues at this time."

" As far as my physical exam I am well with in normal perimeters. I do require a lexorin injections often as my duties as a Counselor sometimes involve mind melds." Sovan announces.

"That's fine just drop buy when you feel you need one and we can certainly accommodate you" Williams stated with a smile.

“That’s fascinating” Isabelle offered Sovan a curious look. “I have to admit I’ve never tried a mind meld during Counselling sessions, being on half Vulcan its not something I’ve done very often.”

" It is usually an invasive process and not for the faint of heart . I often employ this in cases of deep depression. How long have you practiced Counselor?" Sovan asked.

“I’ve been a Counsellor ever since I left the Academy over seven years now” Isabelle smiled. “How time flies.”

" I have practiced for 5 years. I am the youngest Counselor in the history of that class . " Sovan bragged.

Sovan then addressed Dr Williams.
" Despite being sent here for Second Lieutenant Dallas I am also available for other patients Doctor or staff."

"Thank you Ensign and I will certainly keep you in mind if Isabelle happens to be otherwise engaged with her patients" Ramvek replied then looking at Isabelle "That is if that is acceptable to you. I certainly do not want to step on your toes since counseling is your department.

“That’s absolutely fine Doctor” Isabelle smiled warmly. “We Medical Professionals work side by side, if you need to recommend someone then feel free.”

Sovan did not smile but did raise his left eye brow in agreement.

"Thank you Isabelle and yes we do work well together on patient's issues" Williams replied "But I learned years ago never to assume anything."

Isabelle nodded. “I understand. I’m glad I was able to clarify things for you.”

Ramvek smiled and nodded then turning to Sovan "Hopefully you will be able to help Mr.Dallas with his problems thereby helping Isabelle's family get back to some sort of normalcy" the Doctor stated with sincerity.

" Agreed. I will meet with John tomorrow at ten o'clock, " Sovan replied.

John looked out a port window but focused on the green light above a restaurant. It's glow reminded John of the eerie green glow is Breen Captors wore on their head gear.

John's blood pressure rose and his heart seemed to beat out of his chest as he remembered the scene of a cell mate being slowly vaporised for insulting a Breen guard.
