Station/ Athena Post : " Ships Shape "

Mission: USS PEEL Flirting with the Unknown
Location: Nx Athena
Timeline: Concurrent

The Athena quickly rushed to activity as its crew rallied to action. Petty and Myar ran down the check list and in a few minutes the little ship was ready to roll out.

Kah'lyn took up her position aboard the Athena, this was a new ship to her but Ops systems were pretty much the same.

Commodore Sureth appeared on the viewer for his traditional send off.

[ Commander I am just sending you out for back up. So far nothing has come through the anomaly. I hope that stays the case. If you need to assist the Peel by all means do so....Sureth out.]

As Sureth spoke Ltjg Nic Covenant made the realisation from his readings then forwarded it to Lt Petty the Athena's helmsman.

" Commander Wallace the Peel has entered the anomaly and it appears to be closing.

"Confirmed" Kah'lyn looked at her readouts. "The anomaly is closing, even if they turned around now I doubt the Athena would get back out of there in time."

From the engineering console Lt Myar looked also to Kah’lyn for a confirmation.

" I do not recommend us going after the Peel. The Athena was not built for such adventures. We are having some power fluctuations as well Commander Wallace "

" We couldn't if we wanted to chief. That thing is so tight only a chronoton would fit inside that orifice. The Ion storm seems to be moving away faster too. Commander maybe we should lob a couple of quantum torpedoes inside that thing to jar open that hole?" Lt Petty added from helm.


Through a series of commands from Lieutenant Commander Wallace the Athena fired 2bquantum torpedoes which helped to open the orifice more



A trickle of light blinked around the Athena bridge as the Peel exited through the once closed orifice of the anomali.

" Commander we have a ship exiting the amomali....it's the Peel." Petty announced.

But before Wallace could reply suddenly from Engineering Lt Myar yelled that they were losing power.

Wallace then commanded the ship be returned to dock on impulse power.

Arriving several hours later back to the station.
