Location: Lagoon Nebula/Starbase M-69
Timeline: 2401-Present

The imagination is truly the final frontier. This is the continued adventures of the Starbase M-69. Boldly probing the vast reaches of the inner core,seeking out new experiences and adventures. Fearlessly engaging the unknown.

< Observation Deck >
From the observatory Sureth watched as ship after ship arrived carrying the crew and residence from the old station. Mooring them all about the station in the automated slots provided.

" Sureth to Ops and Engineering. I need to see all senior staff in the station ready room in one hour."

Commander Devroe was still a little shaken by the news of her friend being no longer with us but she decided to shake it off and dive headfirst into her duties. Walking around the new OPs Angel checked in with every station making sure things were going smoothly when she heard the call. Tapping her comm badge "Acknowledged Commodore" she replied while she continued walking this new massive OPs room; this was like nothing she had experienced before but oddly enough she was starting to feel right at home here.

Kah’lyn offered a smile. It was good to see so many people arriving alongside the crew. “It’s good to see the crew coming back, along with our residents and visitors.”

Jessica was in her comfort room of the station getting her office ship shape there she felt most herself than her own quarters as she get the request to join the commodore in the ready room. “On my way” she replied back and set her course.
Moments later she arrived at OPs and took in the new view.

" Welcome to day one Kah’lyn. We have a very busy day." Sureth greeted.

“Thank you Sir” Kah’lyn smiled warmly. “Of that I’ve no doubt, I have had the best teacher in Croesus he’s taught me everything I didn’t learn at the Academy and more!” She grinned.

" I have read you chart Kah’lyn. Your skills just needed to be honed. Lt Commander Croesus is as good as his father was. Concerning Captain Kingston he is assisting the downed vessel on the planet. He thinks he can repair their nacelles." Sureth replied

“Let’s hope he can do that, we’ve got enough supplies to spare should the Captain need anything.” Kah’lyn offered.

" Kingston loves to recycle. No doubt he has a replicator already printing nacelle parts as we speak. Sureth


When Lieutenant Commander O'Neil arrived Sureth then greeted.

" Welcome Commander. Excellent work. You and Captain Kingston made a great duo. Before he left he gave you high marks." Sureth greeted.

„Much appreciated, Sir. I am happy to give all can.“ Jessica said with a smile. “I have enjoyed the time and experience with Cap. Kingston despite the rough start at the beginning.


Entering Devroe saw two of the Senior Staff "Ladies, nice to see you....Commodore" Angel greeted with a smile.

" Good Morning . The phase one of the shake down has begun. I am awaiting engineering first report. Captain Kingston is assisting the Veritas on thr planet. They assisted in installing the deep-seated array that allowed the slipstream tether to work. In turn he plans to repair their warp nacelles so they can take the Veritas off the planet. " Sureth filled Angel in.

"Captain Kingston seems to be very good at what he does and thank you for bring me up to speed Commodore" as Angel paused "And it certainly doesn't hurt to have some allies in the region either" she commented.

" I do have a concern about restoring the Veritas given it was temporally transported here from our past. Theirs was a war mission to implant a signal station inside the Lagoon Nebula to spy on Domenion and Klingon signals. They never made it. I worry how that crew feels about not completing their original mission." Sureth added

Thinking a moment "One would think by now they would have accepted their failure......I wonder if their ship is restored if maybe they'll return to their own timeline" Devroe responded realizing that was an odd situation.

" The irony is that an anomaly brought them here. Thus far so sensor readings have detected any such natural occurrence. It is my goal to employ several science teams to really search this sector and also the planet. The end goal is to see if the planet is capable of sustaining a class L settlement with domes." Sureth replied.

"That anomaly may have been 'a once in a millennium event'; I've read about such occurrences. If your end goal materializes that open up a whole new life for our longterm civilians.....maybe even a little get-away for the Commodore" Devroe replied with a grin.

" A get away? I am energized to get this station in gear. Between you and me and Kah’lyn operations is going to be busy for the next two days.

"Of course, I didn't mean now...but maybe down the road....just something to think about Sir" Devroe responded "Being busy isn't an issue; it's better than being bored or looking for something to do."

Sureth then turned to Lt Commander Kah’lyn.

" I understand we are all learning the new systems but make sure our back up systems are fully functioning. Sometimes the new toys don't always work like they are supposed to." Sureth added.

“Of course Sir, I already had that idea as we need back up systems that we can rely on” Kah’lyn smiled.

" Commander Devroe take the center seat. I am taking a stroll down to science lab one." Sureth then added.

"As you wish Commodore" Devroe replied as she continued keeping track of all the Stations.

All other department were very busy checking systems and tuning their instruments. Comms especially was busy as some upper and lower band systems were needing fine-tuned given the nature of the newly installed stellar array.

In particular Science Lab One was a glow as two new civilian transplants had set up shop. Hailing from a planet in the M-2 system both individuals worked insincrously.

" Pay no mind to me." Sureth greeted as he watch the duo performing lightning fast equations.
" I am sorry we do not have time for pleasantries...Commodore. My colleague has just discovered a rogue planetoid several thousand kilometers inside the nebula. " said the male named Galen

" Planetoid...or a moon?" Sureth asked.
" Based on scans it is not part of the planet Aurelia. But perhaps was part of the system that was here." replied the female.

" That is astounding. We will need to explore this planet very soon. " Sureth reacted.
" We are now sir." the female added as the blip on their screen got larger.
