Captain Taavis sat in her chair on the Bridge as she gazed forward through the viewport, seeing the long line of sensor bouys that marked the security line for Starbase M-69. It was a sight she never got tired of. Yes, she was a Meji Champion, but her heart would always be with Starfleet as much as it was with the Order. She had plans for the future, determined to have the USS Capernum among the ships that made sure this facility and all aboard were safe and secure.

Lt. JG Jynxza Dahl, at her place at Flight Control, even though she preferred the word helm, spoke aloud to pass information to her Commanding Officer. "Moving at a steady speed of one-quarter impulse, Captain. We will cross the marker line in two minutes."

"Thank you, Miss Dahl," Taavies responded.

Lt. Commander Sean Loewen was on the Bridge, doing the Number One walk-about as he observed each station and how they were operating. He had spent the night with Len last night, a romantic evening, before they had both fallen asleep. Before the intimacy he had informed her of his new position and that they would be moving to the XO's quarters as soon as he could get it done. Sean felt no rush. "All systems responding well, Captain. Capernum is humming like a Timex." He was, after all, old enough to know what a Timex was and, he was testing his CO's knowledge of the past, Earth or otherwise.

"Auto-winding, or manual," Taavis asked, giving him a grin. Seeing him grin back she followed up. "Yes, Number One, I know the reference."

"I don't," came from the front consoles, with Jynxza looking the XO's way. "What's a Timex?"

Both Taavis and Loewen smiled before he responded. "A watch, Dahl. A timepiece usually worn on the wrist. Their slogan was; Timex: takes a licking and keeps on ticking."

"Humans are so weird," Jynx said in jest. "That slogan would have half the other species in the galaxy asking why anyone would be licking a chronometer." She giggled.

Sean could not help it, he chuckled at the thought and the teasing, happy look on her face. They were in a secure area, crossing a line to home port so, a little banter would not hurt. "It is what it is, Lieutenant. I didn't say I came up with the slogan, geez."

Smiles could be seen forming around the Bridge, all of them enjoying a moment while on duty where they could relax and just be a crew.

Jynxza decided to keep going with it. "Well, Number One, you are the XO so you're only half-weird."

Loewen looked to Taavis who gave him a crooked grin and a slight shrug as if telling him through body language; you engaged in the topic don't look at me. "Did I miss the memo, Captain?"

Taavis knew this was in fun so she played along. "What memo, Commander?"

"The one that stated it was pick on the XO day." Sean smiled even as he heard chuckles and giggles around the Bridge.

"Alright, people, back to business," said Taavis. "Jynxza, get us home and find us a dock."

"Aye, Captain." Dahl went back to work, still grinning to herself at the banter.

Cruising alongside each other, and to starboard of Capernum, Ro and Kara were on their own secure channel so they could talk amongst themselves. "Alright, Padawan. You have experienced your ship cruising through space. It's time to show you the tactical version."

"Tactical version, Master?" Had she missed something while reviewing her controls?

Ro gave a wonderfully happy laugh. "Oh, girl, you are in for a surprise and one hell of a ride. You obviously missed why these ships are called X-wings. Prepare yourself. Once we get set for tactical you will then be tasked with following me move for move. And, yes, we will do this to a favorite song of mine with just the right rhythm. You ready, Kara?"

Kara was liking the challenge, and she was really curious about this whole X-wing thing; why they were called that. Her eyes glanced around her cockpit, not seeing anything that was marked X-wing. "Ready, Ro. Lead on."

"Cosmo, Nano, lock S-foils in attack position," ordered Green. Her wings separated and formed the ever-familiar X that the ship was named for.

In her own cockpit, hearing the mechanical sounds of moving parts, Kara looked out and saw Green's ship with four wings now instead of just two. An X pattern. She looked right and left out of her cockpit and her wings showed the same thing. ~Okay~ she thought ~This is getting fun~

Ro spoke to Kara. "Alright, we'll be accelerating to attack speed. Catch me if you can, Padawan." She gave a cackle and then muted Kara to speak to Cosmo. "Cozzy, I have One Vision. Hit it!"

"Yes, my Queen."

As soon as there was audio to the song, Green slammed her speed to full attack and took off like a shot, even as she saw that Cosmo was feeding the audio to Angel Two.

*One Vision*

{OA: Queen}

God works in mysterious ways
Mysterious ways
Ah

Hey! One man, one goal
Ha, one mission
One heart, one soul
Just one solution
One flash of light
Yeah, one god, one vision

One flesh, one bone, one true religion
One voice, one hope, one real decision

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Give me one vision, yeah

No wrong, no right
I'm gonna tell you
There's no black and no white
No blood, no stain
All we need is one worldwide vision

One flesh, one bone, one true religion
One race, one hope, one real decision

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa-yeah, whoa-yeah, oh yeah!

I had a dream when I was young
A dream of sweet illusion
A glimpse of hope and unity
And visions of one sweet union
But a cold wind blows
And a dark rain falls
And in my heart, it shows
Look what they've done to my dream
Yeah!

One vision
So give me your hands
Give me your hearts
I'm ready! There's only one direction
One world and one nation
Yeah, one vision

No hate, no fight, just excitation
All through the night, it's a celebration

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, yeah!

One, one, one, one, one, one, one

One flesh, one bone, one true religion
One voice, one hope, one real decision

Give me one night, yeah
Give me one hope, hey
Just give me, ah
One man, one man
One bar, one night
One day, hey, hey
Just gimme, gimme, gimme
Gimme fried chicken!
(Vision, vision, vision, vision)

On the Capernum Bridge, everyone present watched the sleek fighters accelerate ahead of the ship and begin to do combat maneuvers while they shot towards M-69. Jynxza sat enthralled at the sight and without thinking spoke out. "Captain. I want one."

Taavis, sitting behind her and leaning to the left in a relaxed position, grinned at that as she rubbed her chin in thought. The Lieutenant's announcement had brought her back to the moment. "On this ship, Miss Dahl, that is possible. However, it requires an oath and a non-disclosure agreement between you and the Meji Order."

With eyes still forward, Jynxza had to ask. "Aren't you and Number one Meji, Captain?"

"We are," Taavis answered. "As is Doctor Holbrook. I can speak to Master Ro on your behalf and see what she has to say."

"Master Ro?" Dahl was not sure if that meant Ro Green, or someone else.

"Yes. AKA Captain Green." Loewen said. He pointed out the window as Dahl glanced his way. "She's in the lead fighter right now."

Over on M-69, Lieutenant Lasso was standing at an auxiliary station as he checked on the Flight Control department and looked to the sensor arrays from time to time. He liked to spend time in OPS from time to time. Looking at the sensor logs he saw Capernum drop from warp and then proceed towards the outer markers as per usual. As he scrolled through the sensor logs his attention was caught by the Capernum launching two small craft. Curious as to what type he then tapped in and took over a lateral sensor array aimed more or less in that direction. What he saw was not what he suspected. Two unknown craft launched from a Starfleet vessel. Just as he was going to proceed with further investigation someone came up beside him. Glancing over he saw Kehlani. "Don't tell me, Commander. It's dinner time and you're hungry?" Gavin went back to eyes on screen, tapping away.

His quick attention, and then his focus going back to his station got Kehlani curious. Getting in closer she looked to the screens and saw what had attracted his attention. "What are those?"

"That's what I'm trying to find out," said Lasso. "They are not in any database I can access. Do the Klingons know what they are?"

As they spoke the two small craft accelerated greatly, one seeming to chase the other in what appeared to be training maneuvers. Kehlani saw this and even as she nudged him aside she answered his query. "If the Klingons knew what they were then I would know what they are. So, no. I have no idea." Inputting her security clearance as Strategic Operations Chief, Kehlani sent a signal out for the ships to auto-identify. A couple of seconds passed and then two transponder signatures appeared over top of the blips on the screen. Federation registry, Meji fighters, and listed as Free Traders. "There's the answer. It appears that Captain Green has acquired technology for her Meji Order. They have been approved by both Starfleet Command and the Federation Council." She relayed this information as she read the file on the ships. "Single person fighters, droid co-pilots, capable of light speed and single vessel missions."

"Droids?" Lasso asked, and then it dawned on him what that meant. "Of course. Cosmo, Green's little robot companion."

Even as Gavin finished speaking Kehlani made sure to send a report of this to Sureth, Vehn, and Wallace. She had told the Commodore that she would act as a Starfleet department head so long as she was here, even though she was an active reservist. That had to be done due to her needs to see to her House and the Empire's needs, as well. After filing the report she looked over at Gavin. "Seems we have something new to look at. The fighters are classified TOP SECRET by HQ and the Council, and are considered Meji technology and property. None of our people will be allowed to perform maintenance on them without the approval of Master Rogue Green."

"She is the founder of the Meji Order. Makes sense." Lasso said. "I wonder why though."

"We will know when she feels it is time for such a revelation. Until then we guess." Kehlani had no issue with secrets. After all, no Starfleet engineer was allowed to perform maintenance on a Klingon Bridge or in the engineering compartments. Klingon technology was just that; for Klingons only. "Anyway, Higan and I are going to dinner. I am going to introduce him to burgers and fries. I see three possible outcomes. He'll hate it and throw it at me. He'll hate it and throw up on me. Or, he'll like it despite it being cooked thoroughly, and ask for more. The bread and potatoes not so much, same with the veggies, but the meat may be palatable."

Lasso gave a laugh. "Kehzza and I had our fun. I would like to see your son try something foreign. We'll meet you at Bliss?"

Giving a nod of agreement, Kehlani walked away.

USS Capernum approached the station at thrusters only, securing from impulse. Nice and easy, Jynxza maneuvered the cruiser into place and was locked in. "Docking locks secured. External dampener now activated. We are locked in, Captain."

"Fine job, Lieutenant Dahl." Taavis said, then stood to up. "Bridge, secure your stations and then enjoy some shore leave. Mister Kudo, set engineering on standby and clear your personnel. M-69 will be coming through for a full maintenance sweep." The man gave a nod and called down to main engineering. Taavis caught Loewen's eye. "I'm going to Bliss for a drink. If you and Len decide to partake all service is on the House, Sean. See ya." With a smile Taavis left the Bridge.

After running through the attack maneuver training, with Queen blaring in their ears, the two X-wings closed down the S-foils and went back to cruising speed. They slowed to allow the Capernum to catch up and then flew up and over the superstructure of the starbase as Capernum began docking procedures.

"By the stars, that was a blast!" Kara exclaimed. "Thank you, Master, for trusting me with such a craft."

"You've earned it, Kara," Green responded. "I told you flying these things would get your blood pumping. Did it make your panties damp?" The moment she said that, Ro realized it and immediately added more. "I am so sorry, Kara. It slipped out. The naughty pilot side of me."

Kara actually laughed at that, the instant correction after a sexual innuendo. "Master, it's fine. And, yes, I am a bit damp," she added to quickly put Ro at ease. "Stop tiptoeing and just be you, Master. I can handle it."

As Green listened to her Padawan, her ear caught something Kara had never done before. She had used a contraction in her speech. Instead of saying "it is fine", she instead had used "it's fine". Perhaps she was recovering from her trauma faster than expected, and was relaxing more around others than she ever had before. No matter the reason, Ro was glad to hear the joy in her voice. "Message received, Kara. Thank you. Just know that when I say such things it is never meant to insult you or hurt you. It's just me being me." They came up over a large portion of superstructure. "There it is, the bay straight ahead. We're listed as Free Traders and that is a Free Trader bay." Muting Kara, Green spoke to OPS, asking for a vector to the bay. It was not too hard to get one since they were already overtop some superstructure and clear of any starship lanes. They both eased into the bay and landed their craft facing nose out.
