ON:

Lieutenant Resch stepped out onto the Bridge of USS Capernum, seeing Taavis, T'Pri, Loewen and all the other familiar faces. He had pep in his step and a slight grin broke out as he met the Captain's eyes briefly before sitting down.

Taavis saw her Security Chief enter, her eyes twinkling with a bit of mirth as their gazes met for a moment before he sat down and began to get his station ready. "Welcome back, Mister Resch. You seem rather relaxed and lighfooted. Shore leave must have done you well."

Still looking at his station, a grin forming, Resch did a tongue in cheek and shook his head at her friendly taunting over what she knew had happened between himself and Kara. "It was both relaxing and stimulating, Captain. Seems I needed shore leave more than I thought."

T'Pri had turned her chair slightly, watching the interplay with glances even as she monitored her station. There was some secret between them, she was sure. If incorrect in her summation of the body language she would have to reevaluate her perceptions of emotional species.

Jynxza came in from the port lift, a happy jaunt in her steps. Not that anyone noticed since seeing her practically prancing around everywhere she went had become quite common. She took her seat and got Helm ready for departure.

Loewen stood over near to Resch, and the interplay between the Captain and Griffon was interesting. It was obvious that his missing of Kudo's birthday party had caused him to miss other events. So, he decided to pry as they awaited crew boarding, being subtle with his interest. "I take it Ken's birthday went well?"

"Ohhhh yeah," Came from Resch, his grin turning to a smile even as he avoided looking at Sean. Taavis grinned, as well, but chose to keep her eyes down as she tapped at her PADD.

"Okay," Sean said. "Is there more to the story?"

"Well," Resch offered, finally looking at his friend. "Green put on a Japanese metal show for Ken, which was out of this world, starting the set off by scaring the dickens out of all of us. She had Kara put it on the sound system, at the volume for the music she was going to play and the lights were down to just dark blue stage lights. The room is chatting, quietly waiting and then boom. Godzilla's roar comes at us followed by his theme to set up the entire Japanese performance. I think, at that point, Kudo fell in love with her all over again." He was beaming at the memory.

"Sounds like quite a spectacle," Loewen said.

"It was epic." Said Taavis, bringing her eyes up to look at them as she spoke. "Jynxza about hopped out of her shoes when that roar happened. Right, Toots?"

Even while tapping at her station, Dahl replied. "I saw you twitch, too, Captain."

Sean was now a bit sad that he had not grabbed Len and gone to see it but, he wanted to get his XO status set up properly before a departure forced it on him. "Sorry I missed it." He could sense there was far more to the story, and it involved Taavis, Jynxza, and Griffon. He was sure Kudo and Green ahd been in on some of it too. "Why all the giddiness, Griff?" He smiled at his friend, letting him know that he was sensing something more.

"Oh, you know, when you're favorite girl finally says yes to hooking up it tends to make a guy happy." Resch glanced over at Sean, giving a nod of exactly who he meant by that.

"I'm happy for you." Sean said.

"So am I," Griffon replied. "My pelvis is still sore. My girl ain't no quitter."

"Oh geez," said Sean, shaking his head and walking away.

Jynxza looked back over her shoulder at Taavis, a brief meeting of eyes as she rolled hers cynically before facing forward again.

Taavis had to put a stop to this, no matter how much she wanted to cut up. "Alright, people. Apologies for the direction of the chat. Lieutenant Dahl, see to our docking exit and move us away from the station when ready."

"Aye, Captain." Dahl set to work with all she needed to do.

Half an hour later USS Capernum was away from M-69 and parked at station keeping out of any lanes.
