[Peel Bridge]

"Captain the Ferengi ship is on a collision course heading straight for us "SanChez called out loudly.

Standing "Helm, evasive maneuvers NOW!" O'Connell ordered just before the Marauder started firing more phasers.

There was no time to acknowledge the orders as the Ensign banked hard to port while watching the position of the enemy Ship "Sir their matching our course change" Hanes informed Command.

"Tactical target their warp core.....phasers.....full spread" O'Connell ordered while thinking of more options."

"As you wish Captain" as Maria quickly did as ordered "Direct hit.....their shields are down to fifty percent but still holding."

Devroe stood beside her Captain as she lowered her voice "Jamie if I may.....as much as I hate to suggest this....but I think it's time to send some quantum torpedos their way and end this quickly" she suggested not really wanting to take a life needlessly "Before they end us."

Letting out a long sigh "I agree and as much as I hate to do it....." Jamie replied in a low voice "Ms. SanChez load up four quantum torpedoes.....target their warp core.......fire two by two...on my order" came the order loudly.

"Aye Sir......locked on to their warp core.....four quantum torpedoes ready on your order Captain" Maria stated hand at the ready.

"Lieutenant Albo make sure our forward shields are at one hundred percent" O'Connell ordered.

"Rerouting power now Captain.....Shields are now at one hundred percent" Albo informed Command.

Captain O'Connell watched the view screen intently wanting to wait for the last possible moment before firing; he wanted this to end now. Seconds later he couldn't wait any longer "FIRE!!" then the torpedoes flew towards the Ferengi vessel two by two......

"Commander they just fired sever......." and those were the last words the pilot would ever speak as the Ship exploded into a million pieces of debris.

Meanwhile High Commander Roark stood watching the entire time and not quite believing what he had just witnessed.....a small Federation Ship just took out a Ferengi Marauder.....but how was that even possible.

Seeing the second Ferengi ship turn into space dust, O'Connell offered up a remembrance for their Crew, he knew he had no other choice. Looking towards Communication "Comms hail High Commander Roark" he ordered then walked up behind Helm "High Commander now will you listen to reason and surrender yourself to Colonial Governor for your actions......or do we need to destroy your vessel was well."

After several minutes of silence "Alright Captain I'll do as you ask, there's no sense in loosing another Ship" Roark replied knowing he had no other choice.

A wave of relief swept over O'Connell "I'll inform Mr. Prell you'll be to him shortly then" the Captain commented "And do yourself a favor.....meet him unarmed that may work out in your favor."

"As you wish Captain O'Connell" then the screen returned to a view of space.

"Comms hail Mr. Prell" as he remained where he was "Colonial Governor, Mr Roark is on his way to surrender himself to you for his crimes and I strongly suggested he came to you unarmed. After the Ferengi Ship leaves then we'll be heading back to Star Base M-69; Altos IV should be all set now."

[ Captain I owe you and your Federation a great debt. Please consider Altos four your home...Prell out ]

Sitting back in his chair Devroe remarked in a low voice seeing the Captain's uneasiness "Jamie you do realize they left you little choice.....it was either them or us."

"Yes I know but it doesn't make it any easier giving orders to destroy lives" he replied knowing one hundred percent his Number One was correct.

[Ferengi Marauder Decent]

After seeing the other Ship utterly destroyed Roark knew he had to keep his word to the Star Fleet Captain, less he and his Crew meet the same fate. Turning to his Second "Quince, I have to remain behind and answer for my actions on Altos IV so the Ship is now yours to command. I hearby give you a Field Commission of High Commander; take good care of the Decent and her Crew."

"As you wish Sir" Quince replied feeling pride in his promotion.

Stepping onto the Transporter pad, unarmed, Roark let out a long sigh as he looked around one last time; it was time to answer for his actions "Energize" as he disappeared in a stream of red light. Several minutes later the Decent broke orbit to head to their next destination and to their next profits.

"Captain the Ferengi Ship has broken orbit and are now heading in the opposite direction Sir'" Lieutenant SanChez called out happy this was over.

"Thank you Lieutenant" O'Connell commented with a smile "Helm set a course for home if you please" as he started to relax somewhat now the issues had been resolved with Altos IV.

Minutes later "Course laid in for Home Captain awaiting your orders Sir" Ensign Hanes informed the Captain.

Tapping his chair Comm "Lieutenant D'Nall is the QSD available" came the inquiry.

"Absolutely Captain" he answered.

Tapping his chair Comm once again "Attention Crew, we'll be activating the QSD monetarily, Captain out" as Jamie looked to Angel.

"Black Alert" Devroe called out "Mr. Hanes, take us Home" as the Peel broke orbit and jumped into slipstream heading for M-69.

"Aye Commander, with pleasure" Hanes replied glad to be going home.
