{Deck 1 Bridge}

Everyone was eagerly awaiting for the Diplomats to arrive when the Captain heard the lift doors swoosh open and Sarissa walked over and took her usual seat at Command. Turning "Good morning Counsellor, I may need your keen sense for this Mission" Jamie commented with a grin.

Sarissa offered a warm smile. “I’m always happy to help Captain.”

A few minutes later the Lift opened once again as Jamie heard the soft pad sound followed by a distinctive clunk "Mr. Ren, if you would please take your post at Engineering" Jamie stated with a smile.

Kalva steps over to the engineering terminal and takes a seat. Turning his chair to face the main screen, the terminal lights up behind him and begins to process a number of diagnostic tests and then starts running code in the Mek-Purr language, after a moment it goes blank and then returns to its normal dashboards showing the ships systems.

While this was occurring Kalva seemed to be in a trance, when the dashboards came back online he looks at the captain and says "ships systems are all at optimum operating capacity First o... Captain, you can engage drives when ready"

"Thank you Lieutenant, we'll be getting underway shortly" the Captain replied being more and more impressed with his Engineering Chief's expertise.

"Captain we're being hailed....it's the USS Churchill" the Communications Officer called out.

"On screen" O'Connell ordered as he stood, straightened his uniform then walked up behind Helm. A strange face appeared on the Screen "Captain O'Connell, I'm Captain Lisa Edwards of the USS Churchill.

"Captain Edwards nice to make your acquaintance....I assume you want to get underway as soon as possible" O'Connell questioned with a smile.

"Yes you assume correctly" then she paused a moment "I would like to accompany the two Diplomats on the trip if you have no objections since my Ship will be waiting here at M-69 anyway. I have never been on a Saber Class Ship before and am curious about the Ship in general" Lisa commented returning the smile.

"That's fine and I have no objections and Helm will send over the coordinates to you; also I'll have VIP Quarters ready for you and for your Diplomats when you arrive" Jamie stated.

"Excellent....we'll beam over in about ten minutes, then we can get underway" she replied with a smile "Edwards out".

O'Connell walked back to the big Chair and sat "Lieutenant Albo have one of your Team arrange the VIP Quarters; one for the Captain and one for the Diplomats please" he ordered.

"As you wish captain; I'll get my Ensign on it straight away" Johan replied then made the necessary call.

After a few minutes passed by Jamie turned towards Angel "You and I need to get to Transporter One to greet our guests" he stated "Counsellor you have the Conn."

Sarissa gave a momentary surprise look before nodding. “Aye Captain.”

{Deck 3}

Angel and Jamie arrived in Transporter Room One chatting about the upcoming Mission, waiting on their Guests, when the Operator informed them "Sirs the people from the Diplomatic Ship are ready to beam over" the Ensign stated.

"Energize" Number One ordered and moments later the people arrived. Edwards walked off the pads first and smiled at the Peel Officers "Captain O'Connell it's so nice to meet you in person" she commented with a smile.

"Likewise Captain Edwards....please allow me to introduce my First Officer.....Lieutenant Commander Angel Devroe" Jamie said. The two Officers exchanged pleasantries then Jamie spoke up " We have VIP Quarters all ready for you and your Diplomats; my First Officer will escort you to your Quarters. After you get settled please fell free to come to the Bridge for a tour" O'Connell instructed with a smile.

"Thank you Captain, I won't be long" Lisa stated then turning to Angel "Lead the way Commander Devroe" as the foursome departed Transporter Room One on their way to their Quarters. After they departed Jamie went back to the Bridge.

{Deck 1}

The Captain walked back onto the Bridge, seeing his Crew had at work, and as he was sitting " Counsellor anything exciting happen while I was gone" he queried with a grin already knowing the answer.

Sarissa offered a grin in return. “Not much Captain, it was a nice and easy first time in command of the bridge for me.”

Jamie thought for a moment feeling now was as good a time as any "Sarissa it has occurred to me of late, the only other Senior Office with any amount of Command experience is Lieutenant SanChez" he stated in a low voice "If something should happen where Angel and I are both incapacitated I would like a fourth Senior Officer ready to assume command. That being said Number One and I both agree you are the next logical choice. We'll start you out slowly, like today for example, and as you feel more confident then you'll be put into more and more stressful situations; that is if you're up to the challenge."

Sarissa paused giving it some thought before nodding. “I’m up for the challenge Sir, after all it gives me more reason to be on the bridge.” She smiled warmly.

"Good...and like I said we'll start you out slowly and build from there" Jamie replied while thinking "I wonder if her eagerness to be on the Bridge has anything to do with a certain young Ops Officer" which put a smile on his face hoping that she had found someone to be with.

Hearing the Lift doors open O'Connell stood and faced the sound seeing Angel and Lisa exit. Walking over to the the Captain "Welcome to the Bridge of the USS Peel" then he turned "Crew this is Captain Lisa Edwards of the USS Churchill; she'll be our guest for the duration of the Mission.

"Thank you Captain O'Connell for the warm welcome" then she addressed his Crew "And thank you all as well." As they walked towards the Center Seats Jamie made another introduction "Captain please allow me to introduce our Counsellor, Lieutenant JG Sarissa Aloran."

"It's very nice to meet you Counsellor" Captain Edwards stated with a smile while thinking "That's not what I need right now....a Counsellor.....hopefully she won't pickup on what I need to do here."

Sarissa offered a polite smile. “It’s nice to meet you Captain.” She couldn’t help but sense a certain trepidation but that wasn't unusual given her position.

After meeting the Counsellor, Lisa reached into her thigh pocket and grabbed her PADD looking at Jamie "I have the coordinates for Cresis II" she stated as Jamie went to reach for the PADD " Here I can give the information to your Helmsman." Jamie smiled and gave her a hand gesture to proceed.

Lisa walked over to Helm "I have the coordinates for you if you'd key them in" Lisa said. "Thank you Captain" as he grabbed the PADD and entered the coordinates. While that was being accomplished Edwards reach in her pocket and grabbed a small device and stuck it to the underside of Helm being undetected; one down and many more to go "Here you go Captain" Helm replied as he handed the item back to Edwards "Sirs, course plotted and awaiting your Command."

Captain Edwards walked back to the Center Chairs as Angel stood "Captain Edwards, please take my seat" then looking at Jamie "Captain O'Connell I be at the Science Station" she stated and Jamie gave her a nod of approval.

Lisa sat in the offered seat as Captain O'Connell called out "Helm take us away from the Base....half impulse....once we clear traffic, Warp Seven if you please."

"Aye Captain.....traffic cleared Sir.....going to Warp Factor Seven now" Helm replied as the Peel went smoothly to Warp.
