As soon as the red alert sounded for M-69, Captain Sean Loewen tapped his badge. "USS Capernum, this is Captain Loewen. Red alert reboard! All hands get back to the ship pronto! Loewen, out." As soon as he tapped his badge off Sean hurried back towatds the Capernum gangway.

Ten minutes later Captain Loewen stepped onto his Beidge from the port lift. "Talk to me, Number One." Sean ordered, spotting his XO already on the Bridge and giving orders of her own.

"We have a large, unfriendly looking Reman cruiser out there, Captain. They are being...obstinate in requests to open a channel. The Commodore saw that as a reason for immediate preparedness on our part." Her antennae were standing tall, barely wiggling around, and the tips bent slightly forward. She was as intense as any other Andorian when it came to battle.

"Gotta love Sureth." Loewen said as he took his seat. "We've been hoodwinked a few times by visitors, glad to see that our backsides are to the wall this time."

"I can't agree more, Captain." Resch said, from his Tactical/Security station.

"How many left to get back, Number One?" Loewen asked.

"The last group just beamed aboard and are heading for their departments now, Sir." Sheyla informed her CO. "I have Mister Resch at red alert for Capernum since the starbase is also still at red alert."

Sean gave a nod to that, adjusting himself in his chair to sit up straight even when leaning back in the chair, both feet placed squarely on the deck. "Mister Borelli, get us moving. Find an empty lane and get us out of this cluster of transports." Borelli acknowledged and after a few moments Loewen could see the transports sliding by Capernum to port and starboard as the cruiser began to get into a better position for combat maneuvers.

When the red alert sounded Captain Ro Kudo got to her feet, having just changed her daughter and given her a bottle. Yui had been so close to sleep and then the klaxon sounded, the poor girl about jumping out of her skin and her eyes coming open wide as the klaxon sounded for thirty seconds before the flashing lights were left on but the klaxon was muted. Yui made to cry with being startled. Ro placed her hand on Yui's cheek. "Quiet, sshhh, Little Fox. It's okay, just an alarm. Mama needs to go but we'll have uncle Manny look after you." Getting the pod moving with her, Kudo took up the baby bag and put it over a shoulder even as she left her office. Quick as could be she went to Club Bliss, giving the knowing smile to Manny. "Can you still watch her, Manny?"

"Absolutely!" The big man reached one of his hamhocks out and lifted a finger, with Yui smiling around the nipple on her bottle as she grasped it. "Go mom, while she isn't watching." Manny said in a baby-talk style voice. Yui was clueless to the deception.

Ro lip-synced 'thank you' to Manny, and then quickly vacated the club, this time doing a site-to-site transporter to the Bliss landing bay/storage bay. Cosmo was already seated in the X-wing, knowing that was where he would be needed. Both Jynxza and Kara were nearby, all geared up for their own flights, with their own droids seeing to their fighters.

"This is your first combat flight, Jynxza," Ro said as she approached the other two. "Here, this is yours, too." She handed Jynxza a lightsaber hilt. "This was Taavis's. It is now yours. Let's get out there and discuss this later, shall we?" Both women agreed and the three of them mounted their fighters, closed the canopies, and within two minutes all three were zooming out of the bay. "Cosmo, gimme a SITREP."

"It seems that the Remans are here to discourage this other vessel." Cosmo tried to explain. "From picking up one of their own. A creature wounded on M-69 by an unknown attacker. The rumor is it was a Romulan assassin."

Not that anyone else could see her, but Kara pointed out her own canopy to the left. "Peel and Capernum are over that way, Captain Kudo. Should we join them?"

"Sounds good Angel 3. Droids, lock S-foils in attack position." Kudo's order was obeyed and all three fighters now had their distinct wing shape apparent. "Angels, we each have 4 ion torpedoes and 4 proton torpedoes. Use them wisely. Jynxza, Pinky can give you the rundown on what they are capable of."

"Aye, Captain." Jynxza was still reeling somewhat from being handed Taavis's lightsaber. Did Ro know something she did not?

As it was all three fighters went towards the fast attack ship and the cruiser.
