~ Bridge ~

The hours had rolled on by on their way to Alben and Captain O'Connell knew it was getting late in their shift but there were a couple more things that needed to be accomplished first.

Addressing the Bridge Crew "Could I have everyone's attention please. The eminent mission is an extremely important one as you all may have heard" then O'Connell paused a moment "As much as I hate to do this I feel I must.....I want everyone back at their Stations by zero zero hundred as the Infiltration Team departs the Ship.....I need the best of the best on this one. All your shifts will be ending soon so grab something to eat and get some rest beforehand. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication" he concluded with a smile.

Tapping his comm "Lieutenant Flannery, this is O'Connell, due to the importance of this mission I would like you to be back in Engineering at zero zero hundred; I wouldn't ask if I didn't feel it was necessary."

Marcus was a little surprised at the request but knew it must be important for the Captain to even ask "No problem Captain, you can count on me" he answered.

"Thank you Lieutenant and make sure you get some rest after your current shift has ended, O'Connell out." then tapping his comm once again "Lieutenant Jen please report to the Captain's Ready Room" came the order.

"On my way Captain" Yesrin replied before grabbing her PaDD and leaving her quarters.

"Lieutenant SanChez, Number One let's depart to my Ready Room for a quick update" turning to Sarissa "You have the Conn" before the Officers left the Bridge.

Sarissa nodded as she stood and moved across to the centre seat. It felt odd to have the Conn, especially as her role was Counsellor, not that she didn’t enjoy it. All experience was good.

~ Ready Room ~

Walking into the Office Jamie turned "Please have a seat and feel free to grab a drink from the replicator" as he grabbed a water.

Maria also grabbed a water as she looked at Shauna "Commander would you like a beverage while I'm here" she inquired with a smile.

Shauna offered a warm smile. “A cold water would be lovely, thank you.”

Grabbing a second water from the replicator Maris walked over to Shauna "Here you go Commander" as she handed off the water then sat next to the XO waiting for Yesrin to arrive.

Moments later Yesrin came walking in the room "You wanted to see me Captain" she inquired seeing who else was in attendance.

"Yes I was curious if you had any updates on Alben we should know about and this meeting will be short since I want you and Ms. Sanchez to have a meal and get some sleep before your Op commences" O'Connell stated was he sat.

Yesrin sat as well "I reached out to my contacts but from what I've been told the place certainly hasn't improve any....if anything is worse now than when I was there last" then she paused "The Lieutenant and I have instructed Captain Hunt on the OP and he assures me they'll be ready if needed Captain. Also we have our gear all set for a departure at zero zero hundred." Yesrin explained still dreading the return to that place.

"Sounds like you have everything well in hand so thank you both for that" as he glanced over at Maria "I'm having the Alpha shift Bridge Crew being at their Stations for this Op" then looking towards Maria again "I took the liberty of having Lieutenant McNeil at Tactical as well" O'Connell explained.

"Good move Captain...he's one of my best Officers" Maria replied thinking she would have done the same thing herself had she known Jamie's plans "Also in regards to the Marines, their clothing will not be Fleet Marines but rather a nondescript militia type uniform so they can't be traced back to Star Fleet as are their weapons. They'll be on standby when we leave the Ship."

"Excellent. No we don't want them to know Star Fleet was involved in any manner" then he paused "I guess I don't have to tell you two to come back safe and sound along with your package" O'Connell stated with a smile "You're both dismissed and get some rest" came the orders.

After the two Officers left Jamie looked to Shauna "So how do you feel about the success of this Op."

“I’m pretty optimistic actually” Shauna smiled. “The crew all know what they have to do, and they’re going down there well prepared. Doesn’t mean I won’t be worried about them though.”

"I agree with your assessment and I don't rest easy whenever any of the Crew leave the ship until they return safe and sound" then Jamie paused "Especially this mission with all the data we have" he concluded "I guess we better get back out there" as the two Officers left the Office.

~ Bridge ~

Walking back to Conn "Thank you Counselor for taking command for a bit" then he lowered his voice "Once we reach Alben you may not want to be on the Bridge for this Op. If the planet is as bad as they say I don't want you to become overwhelmed with all those peoples emotions and feelings; especially from the women but I'll let you make that call for yourself" the Captain suggested.

Sarissa nodded. “I want to be on hand in case I’m needed Sir, I’ll let you know if I need a break.”

"Thank you Counselor I may need your input." Knowing Beta Shift was about to start "Lieutenant Albo how are we looking on resources" O'Connell inquired.

Turning in his seat to face his superior "Good Captain and once we arrive I can transfer resources as needed" Johan replied.

"Excellent Lieutenant" then O'Connell shifted his gaze "Lieutenant Sayvek when we get closer will you be able to start some long range scans of Alben" came the inquiry.

" Affirmative Captain." Sayvek replied.
